Very nice trick. Only thing you ahve to do different is move an overlord as far away from your opp base as possible before you get muta.

keep a couple ovs in the opposite corner for this.

when one gets about halfway, just send it back and switch it out for another one.

Shit... I wrote the magical boxes strat and never though of that answer to his question >< Thats some smart thinking!

For those who don't understand how it works, I'll try to explain basically. If all teh airs units you are selecting are within a box of size 255 by 255, a move command is less likely to clump your units. However if your selected air units exceed the 255 by 255 box, such as a far away ovie thats like a billion pixels away, then each move command will results in a clump.

I don't see how you would have speed ovies so early when the first couple mutas come out to harass terran, so its a great idea.

It is forbidden even for scounting, because you can get your worker inside a choke blocked with units, which you normally woundn't be able to. Knowing your opponents tech is a game winner.
And what do you want to ask with that "isn't it a glitch?" If there was a glitch instantly winning you the game it would be banned, too. This is the same thing.

Wow nice trick to learn. Didn't know about that.

Whenever I see pro's muta micro I see their mutas clump up so easily without really clicking on anything. I always wondered how their mutas stay in such close formation without having to click on a mineral or gas...

What's the forte mineral thing?

who uses mutas with overlord speed anyways... by then its all about the lurkers.

anyways now my muta micro has become like july's and yellow[name] cept scourge dodging. thx. i practiced this all day. its actually quite easy, hitting and running a base or units, but scourge dodging i still need practice.

to answer someone else's question i always thought patrol on your own mutas was a good alternative to stack mutas without minerals. Works if you want to muta micro with lord speed I guess.

There is an easy solution to micro'ing mutas even when you have overlord speed upgrade: don't use overlords! Just add a larva to your control group instead. It works!!! (So long as you don't actually build any units with that larva)

That is good, but if youre in a hurry theres usually an overlord near by. This is a longer term solution though. Good!

Noticed that a month ago while watching some vod. Dunno who was playing but i ended up using the standard mineral trick because there's some z that doesn't need to clump their mutas as much as the pro does >_<

Would be more usefull in ZvZ i think though.

... no its pretty annoying a good muta harrass v terran or toss... as toss even with cannons u can pick off about 9 probes which does stuff ;O.
