Not sure if many of you read Wired magazine, but I found this article this morning that I figured you'd all find particularly interesting.
Study Predicts Which StarCraft Race Will Conquer Space
"Will it be Zerg? Terran? Protoss? For the last 15 years, the three races of the perennially popular science fiction strategy game StarCraft have waged war across the Koprulu Sector on the outskirts of the Milky Way galaxy. Their armies have been painstakingly balanced against each other by the game’s developer Blizzard to ensure that fans could battle online forever with no race gaining a clear advantage.
However, a pair of researchers at the Royal Observatory of Edinburgh took it upon themselves to find out which race would ultimately triumph if given enough time. Thomas Targett and Duncan Forgan observed competitive StarCraft II matches, then dropped the collected data into statistical models."
And the results are...
+ Show Spoiler +TERRAN! Sorry Zerg & Protoss players, looks like MVP and The Eternal Emperor will win in the end.

First off, that's a lot of dedication to do all this.
“It was found that the Terran inhabitants of the fictitious Koprulu sector,” read the post, “pursuing a strategy of early pressure against their opponents, would eventually conquer their Zerg and Protoss adversaries.”
Hear that? Cheese and all ins lead to galactic domination.

The comments on that article are hilarious.
Show nested quote + Basically, humans have made a study that puts humans at an advantage.
In a game which was created by humans. I've already contacted various organizations on behalf of the Zerg and Protoss. Lawsuits will be filed against Blizzard shortly. The Zerg and Protoss have just as much right to wipe out other species as we do. This is an unfair violation of civil liberties and Blizzard should be ASHAMED.

Maybe this will lead to new Terran nerfs in HoTS?

If this won't then something else certainly will... Blizzard can't help themselves when it comes to nerfing Terran. ^^

They were asked to show up for an interview, but never did.

Looks like an unprecedented waste of time.

Situation report: Heart of the Swarm launch day
"We've decided that Terran early pressure is a little bit too powerful. Based on a study done by humans of a game created by humans, we have put the humans at too much of an advantage. So, we'd like to test the following changes:
Barracks build time increased to 75 seconds. Bunkers require an engineering bay to build. Siege tanks retain free siege mode, but now require an upgrade: "Heavy duty armor" to build. 300/300/150 seconds. To compensate, they now do 40+25 vs armored!"
Hehehe

better increase bunker build time

DISCLAIMER This is not a peer reviewed scientific research paper, nor has it been submitted to a scientific journal. All work was conducted outside of office hours on personal time. Still fun.

Replay analysis... showed Terrans are favored to win against Zerg and Protoss. Uhh..
Okay? Here I was thinking this would be a really good, detailed and complex post with tons of adapted canon lore, elaborate predictions with anecdotal proof, real-world scientific references... you know, the ultimate compilation, detailing and explaining the "what ifs" and "what nots" of a hypothetical Koprulu Sector.
I am disappoint.

who files lawsuits for zerg and protoss? xD

They used starcraft 2 replays instead of facts backed up by lore and the story line from the campaign...

You didn't play the version of the campaign where the last level includes MVP beating his wrists all while defending continuous attacks from Squirtle?

I don't know about about Zerg, but Protoss disputes go straight to the arbiters.
