Q: How does it feel to qualify for the WCS Global Finals? A: It's like a dream. Today feels like the happiest day ever since I became a pro-gamer, and it feels slightly happier than when our team won the GSTL.
Q: You won under very difficult circumstances. Did you expect that you'd win before the games? A: No I didn't expect it. I was just thinking of beating Parting. For the games against Squirtle, because I actually had to win twice, I had almost give up on it. Winning seemed to be a little bit too difficult for me, and so I was just thinking about how to defeat Parting.
Q: What were your thoughts after winning the first set against Squirtle 2:0? A: Because we were then on the same level, I became more confident and felt that I might win him. I was also thinking of the 12 million won prize for the champion.
Q: The strategies you chose against Squirtle were all really bold. A: I felt that since he had one chance, he would play more conservatively. That's why I targeted his early game, and it worked really well.
Q: Most of your games against Parting went into the late game. A: I am used to this type of play, and have confidence in my mid-late game for PvP. I am really satisfied with the performance in the games against Parting.
Q: In the third game against Squirtle, you were using forcefields to stall for time. A: When I threw down the first forcefield, I just felt like I already won, and my heart just kept exclaiming. When my phoenix then scouted his strategy and I picked off his observer, I just felt like I would be able to achieve victory. But if I had messed up the forcefields even just a little, the game would have ended instantly, so it was quite nail biting.
Q: This is your first championship since the start of your pro-gaming career. A: This is really important to me, and it gave me a lot of confidence. The experience of winning is really important for professional gamers. Now I feel that I can get great results in Code S or in other big tournaments.
Q: Which games in this tournament were the hardest? A: The games against Rain and Roro were the hardest as well as most stressful and made me really nervous. There are many strong players on the Kespa side. Those were the most memorable matches.
Q: You'll be taking part in the up and down matches on the 30th. A: I've seen the maps and who my opponents are going to be, and I think I have a good chance of advancing to Code S.
Q: Are the Asia Finals going to feel more relaxing and be less stressful? A: I feel like I just need to be careful against the Korean players. Frankly, I'm not too greedy, and I won't be placing too much stress on myself.
Q: Which player do you not want to go against in the Global Finals? A: Amongst the foreign players, Scarlett is the most terrifying. When taking part in North American online tournaments, putting the online handicap [T/N: Lag issues I guess] aside, she's really good and can put up really good performances even against the strong Protoss players from our country.
Q Anything else you wish to say? A: I want to thank the players who practised with me, FXO's Tear, and from our team Jo Ji Hyun, Song Gwang Ho. My hands were frozen after the second game against Parting, and I want to thank the coach for bring some hot water to warm my hands, and I was able to win thanks to it. I also want to thank the people who have been cheering for me. I also want to thank our sponsor Tt-esports for their keyboards. I seem to be playing better because of the keyboard.

Scarlett is the most terrifying? Wow, that's some recognition she's getting if a WCS Korea winner is accepting her as a threat.
|
Wow, congrats to Creator, Squirtle to the kong line.

it's incredible that the koreans are aware of such a newcomer as scarlett... the BW guys didn't even know they had fans outside korea but it seems the SC2 guys are getting more aware of the competition by necessity. Good too see.

I've always liked watching Creator's games. Good player, deserved win.

Good too see. They play a lot with each other during playhems. Hence why he talked about online tournaments.

She did it while Creator was there... and against his (then) teammate, so probably made a big impression.
BTW anyone know what's the deal with terious / bumblebee? Seems he is still out of Prime but pops up in Prime members interview as someone they practice with now and then.

Keeping Squirtle in his place. Forever 2nd. The only possible outcome even though Squirtle's my favourite <3
Great job Creator, honestly think you have the most potential of any progamer at the moment.

Thanks for translating man! I did root for Seed, Parting, Squirtle in that order for that tournament, but well, I can't be mad at this kid, so skilled!
