To restore your original region: Use the region changer to switch to your original region. Exit, then delete your SC2/Updaters folder, C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment and C:\ProgramData\Battle.net folders. Run StarCraft II.exe and let it update. Your game should now work.
At this time I cannot figure out why this error is occurring when switching to non-home regions and thus do not recommend using this program any longer.
+ Show Spoiler [Old Post] +Figured I'd make a new thread for this to answer any questions. This is a simple region changer for 1.5.0 that automates the steps from this thread and launches SC2 for you. You still need a valid SC2 account on the region you selected for this to work. Currently works for NA (US English), EU (British English), KR (Korean), KR (Taiwanese) and SEA (Singaporean English). Latest version now allows you to choose which region to use assets (audio among other things) from. Eg, you can have Korean sounds on the NA or EU server, provided you have connected to Korea at least once to download the relevant data files. Requires .NET 3.5 (you likely have this if you use xsplit or any of my other programs). If you encounter problems such as invalid mod data while trying to watch replays, delete your StarCraft II/Updates folder and let the launcher re-download it. Some people report that this program causes you to be unable to play games after switching regions. It works fine for me however. Use at your own risk.Download: http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/R1CH/SC2_Region_Changer.zip

fucking awesome, you the man

Just wondering R1CH, this will require you to have already downloaded the patch data for the new region? or does it automate that as well (which would be great)?
|
Do you have to put this in the support folder thingy or can you run from anywhere?

Anywhere.

I have a TW account but it wont let me log into the KR server. I'm guessing its safe to assume that KR doesnt allow that. bummer. :/

If you wait a bit my friend is making a switcher that works with all regions as opposed to just koKR, enGB and enUS.
edit: http://xplora.biz/XRelocalizer.zip works for all the versions.

Updated with support for Korea (TW) for those of you who use the Taiwanese client to connect to Korea.

Thanks for that addition ^^ I had the same problem for a while :S

Will we have to reinstall after every patch like the previous relocalizer or won't know until a new patch hits?

I was trying to see if I can switch the variable file to get English text and voice but it looks like you can only do voice. When I swap localeiddata= it says I don't have the correct package. It will however change your in game audio to English if you swap localeidassets to enUS. Has anyone found a way around this to get English text?

I think right now it is hard to keep English text, because I heard Blizzard made their MPQ's uneditable now.

Has anyone found a way around this to get English text? Nope. I was testing it with xpaperclip last night and we found that it only works for Starter Edition accounts to get the English text as well as voice. You'll have to do with the korean/chinese text sadly, but it's better than nothing.

R1CH you are awesome! How can you code so fast?! :D
Lost the race, but still enjoyed it a lot! I am going to maintain mine and make mine prettier!
Thanks for racing with me!

I have installed EU+NA (on my ssd 120gb fills so much space) so I can remove NA edition and just connect there with this app?
|
Yes you only need one installation. This will download additional content for the region you select, it should still save some disk space though.

Is this normal that I know after using this program one time have a selection box at the login screen?

Program was just updated to add support for SEA (enSG).
