RAZER, ESAHARA AND OLD GENERATIONS FORM A NEW INTERNATIONAL E-SPORTS ALLIANCE

Trifecta forms to extend support for Korean and international gamer

Carlsbad, Calif. – February 3rd, 2012 – Razer, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, eSahara, France-based European e-Sports organisation, and Old Generations (oGs), professional South Korean StarCraft II team, have formed a partnership to help grow each other’s presence in Korean and international e-Sports.

The partnership between all three organisations looks towards developing the ability for European pro-gamers to immerse themselves in a Korean training environment, and for Korean pro-gamers to have more opportunities to participate in international competitions with Razer’s financial support and provision of high-end peripherals to strengthen the project.

eSahara, formed in 2010, consists of some of the most competitive and well-known personalities in their disciplines, including professional French Counter-Strike 1.6 team, captained by star player Mickael “mSx” Cassisi, a StarCraft II roster brimming with international talent, including [image loading] Santeri “Naama” Lahtinen, top-class Ukrainian DotA2 team and Quake legend Kevin “strenx” Baéza.

oGs, known to many as one of the most competitive Korean StarCraft II rosters, boast a host of strong professional players, including hugely popular ex-Brood War pro, [image loading] Lee “NaDa” Yoon Yeol, Terran extraordinaire [image loading] Kim “SuperNoVa” Young Jin and GSL August runner up [image loading] Kim “TOP” Jung Hoon. Based out of Incheon, South Korea, oGs surround themselves with a hugely professional training environment to ensure the best possible results in a brutally competitive Korean StarCraft II scene.

With opportunities for both Korean and international players now wide open for both teams, the agreement was made to name and tag the team, “oGs.eSahara” for all domestic Korean events and, “eSahara.oGs” for all international events.

"Razer is proud to be partnering with these incredibly talented teams, eSahara and oGs. Other than the phenomenal Counter Strike and DotA2 line-up, they are bringing in a vast talent pool of StarCraft II players" says Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President, Razer USA. "With our commitment to this partnership, Razer will be doing its part to see an increased presence of the high-skilled players of oGs in international events, and an emphasis on a professional training environment for eSahara’s international players.”

“eSahara is very happy to start our partnership with Old Generations and Razer,” said Ryad Abour, CEO of eSahara. “We have many exciting projects in the future that our fans and followers have to look forward to as a result of this strong alliance between the three of us and e-Sports will undoubtedly be better off as a whole with our combined efforts.”

“It is an honor to be in a partnership with such a great brand as Razer which supports the best teams across the globe,” said
[image loading]
Park “TheWind” Sang Ik, Head Coach of Old Generations. “oGs has always had outstanding respect for Razer's passion towards StarCraft II and e-Sports as a whole, having designed a lot of highly competitive gear to help gamers be their best. oGs, in association with eSahara, will strive to make their partners proud by showing good games and good results in 2012 and beyond.”

On the oGs and Team Liquid Relationship:

"Hi guys

I am the Head Manager of oGs, "Spunky". It seems we missed a few points in this article and let me clear things up:

oGs relationship is not going to change with TL. To make things simple: oGs and TL are more like family, we can't even really call each other business partners. I love all the players on the team and have great relations with Nazgul.

Currently we are sharing this home out of neutrual benefits through practice for players and TL always supports and helps our oGs players. So, nothing is changing!

Our partnership with eSahara is more like what we had with sk-gaming during 2011. Although our business partnership did end a way I did not want it to towards the end with sk-gaming, we are looking to have a successful year with eSahara where both parties can benefit lots. I love eSahara's CEO Ryad, very cool guy, and I hope all of you look forward to what our partnership can show through out 2012 for the improvement of both teams!

I'm looking forward to it so all of you guys should as well

I always thank everyone for cheering for our team, I know oGs has not been dominating as badly as we did early 2011 but I can tell you guys for sure - we are prepared to dominate all during 2012 with support from eSahara and TL!"

RAZER SPONSORS SUPERNOVA TO EMBARK ON HIS FIRST INTERNATIONAL STARCRAFT II TOURNAMENT

Razer supports eSahara.oGsSupernova to attend the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge, Sao Paulo

Carlsbad, Calif. – February 3rd, 2012 – Razer, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, in association with, eSahara and Old Generations, will be sending [image loading] Kim “SuperNoVa” Young Jin to his first ever international StarCraft II event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Picked as one of the few Korean invites to the tournament by the organizers of the Intel Extreme Masters, Terran player [image loading] Kim “SuperNoVa” Young Jin is one of StarCraft II’s most competitive and consistent individuals to date – a regular feature in the Korean GSL Code S competition - and Razer will be supporting his journey to the other side of the world in order to compete for a spot in the Intel Extreme Masters World Finals in Hannover.

“I have been waiting and wanting to play in international tournaments for a long time now,” says [image loading] Kim “SuperNoVa” Young Jin, the Old Generations Ace player. “Finally this opportunity has come with Razer's sponsorship and I will make sure to come back to Korea with the #1 title and the hopes of competing at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championships next month.”

Seen as both a rare and momentous opportunity for [image loading] SuperNoVa , the tournament will be the first in a line of many this year in which the player will be given the chance to broaden his experience on a global level in the game, a chance that few other Korean players are afforded.

I hope this doesn't interfere with the oGs-TL partnership. Otherwise, awesome news!

I was wondering the same thing. oGs has always been known (in theory) as oGs-TL; but on the other hand, Razer also sponsors liquid. Wierd.

Careful oGs, don't lose other players such as Nada to foreign teams now. >_>

eSahara is pretty chill though, I like their Korean players. Not a huge fan of a couple of their foreigners but that is NBD.

This is great news, good to see Razer getting even more involved where ever possible, can't wait to see more oGs players at foreign tournaments. Wondering why MC left, this could have been in the works whilst he was still at oGs :/

Very happy for eSahara! They have a really sick and under-rated line-up and you can probably expect them to be owning face very soon!
