Korean Japanese
how about think you??
Kor,Jap everyday go into a dispute.. everyday fight.. first problem "Dokdo(Jap:Dakesima) and "Sea of Korea?=Sea of Japan?" very confusion..

You are talking about that island right between kor and japan right? EDIT: Where japan wants to put up a military outpost or something like that? And it's a korean island historically?
Can't remember details ~!

Let's try to interpret it! Basically,he wants our opinion on KOR-JAP issues, which includes a dispute about an island (?). =)

well I know what he means, but I'd rather see him squirm trying to make himself understandable

They have a way of taking care of country border related issues...

Well, The Japanese government don't just do this to Korea, they also are claiming soverign over "diao yu dao" island which isn't so far away from the islands of Taiwan. Frankly it is disgusting, but neither our government or "Taiwan" is doing anything about it for some reason. I hope Korea will win this dispute and teach the Japanese government that they are not the number one in Asia.

that's true
japan and korea are fighting over control of some rocks between them
simple

Alot of asian countries hate Japan for what they did during WWII..
Well... mainyl only 2, China and Korea but some people have gotten over the fact, that it is the past and its a new generation of people living in both socities and have gotten over it. And Korea/Japan share some attributes like the food, customs, style etc..
Still... there are some people who are unwilling to let this go and continue to hold a grudge against the Japanese

and yet still... there are some japanese who are unwilling to let this go and continue to be a dick about it.

Those "rocks" are very important for Japan, as they give them the rights on the surronding sea, making it a national fishing territory rather than international sea. Japan produces 12% of the fish worldwide. Japan's sea territoy is about 20 times its land superficy. Japan is in dispute with Russia for islands north of Hokaido that were annexed by Staline after WW2, Japan in dispute with Korea for some islands between them and about the name given to the Japan Sea, and Taiwan is in conflict with Japan for some islands southwest of Japan (Taiwan claims that those islands are geologicaly on the continent and so should belong to Taiwan). And yes Haduken, Taiwan is doing something about it.
Japanese are very nice people, but as a society they are tough as rock and don't make many friends with mainland countries. And what they did during WW2 and before that still matters to many people, as jjun212 said.

I was under the impression that Japan effectively ruled Korea for a while before WW2 as well, and so Korea has extra reason to dislike the Japanese. The Chinese obviously were also attacked some time before, but that was a more direct war...
Strange how France is now Germany's closest ally, and the UK one of its closest, and they were in much the same boat 50 years ago, though the Germans weren't anything like as fucked up in their occupation as the Japanese were... I guess the EU is good

germans werent fucked up in the west, but their occupation of russia wasnt very nice.
