Bomber

- Your thoughts on making the round of 4?
I can almost taste the victory. It also feels like the super tournament is a bit closer.

- Was it hard to prepare for this game?
He is not an unusual player (**plays standard), so it wasn’t too difficult.

- You were in a bit of a crisis (**contain) in the 1st set.
I have had that kind of situation many times in practice. If that happens, most of the time, their units become spread out so I focused breaking out through one weak point.

- What was the meaning behind the ceremony after the 1st set?
I was hoping that if I showed a ceremony after the 1st set, my opponent would lose confidence against me.

- How did you prepare for the 1st set?
I designed my strategy to fit my opponent.

- Who do you want to face in the next round?
Personally, I have practiced a lot with aLive previously so I hope that he advances.

- It seems that you are quickly rising through the ranks, any secrets to your success?
I think I am practicing and preparing for matches well.

Ryung

- Your thoughts on making the round of 4?
I wanted to face MMA in a match but since he lost in the 1st match, that goal cannot be accomplished. I think I was able to win today because my opponent was a bit nervous.

- Did BoxeR ask anything of you because you were facing aLive? (*BoxeR lost to aLive in the round of 16)
My build today was suggested by BoxeR. I think it went really well. In the 1st set, my opponent went a mech build so I had to improvise a bit. But recently, MMA told me of a strategy to beat mech so I was able to win because of that.

- You are the last player left for SlayerS, do you feel any pressure?
I am going to try my hardest to take revenge for MMA (against Bomber).

- Do you have confidence in facing off against Bomber?
I am even more confident for that match than for today’s match. Because I was able to beat him in the GSTL more easily than I thought.

- Your goal for this season?
I want to take revenge for my teammates more so than to win code A. Because MMA has fallen, my goal has changed a bit.

- The SlayerS terran line has been showing good results lately.
I think we have been a bit lucky. Within the team, I think the terran line is the weakest. But of course, I am sure the zerg and protoss players in the team may think otherwise.

- What do you think about the 1.3.3 patch?
I think they are nerfing terran again. I think ever since the beginning of SC2, they have continuously been nerfing terran. I don’t think the balance is that bad right now, so I wish they would just leave it as it is.

- Why are you so obsessed with MMA?
Personally, I feel like he is one of the best players in SC2. That is why I definitely want to beat him in a real match.

Mvp

- Your thoughts on making the round of 4?
I said before that the round of 8 was my goal. But since I am this far into the tournament, I want to win.

- Would you say that you are a code S player disguised as code A?
Since it was my bad play that brought me down to code A, I feel like my skill level is still code A. When I get back into code S by winning in the up and down matches, then I will say that I truly belong in code S.

- Who do you want to face in the up and down matches?
I haven’t seen everyone who is in the up and down matches. But if they matched me up against MKP or MC, I think it will be entertaining.

- If you win code A, you will get to choose your group. Who then?
Of course, then, I will not pick a hard group. I feel like it is the victor’s right get an easy up and down match.

- The super tournament is quickly approaching.
I am looking forward to it since it will have the largest tournament purse since in the Open seasons of GSL. I have more desire to win that tournament than the code S. Since I have secured my spot in the up and down matches, I want to do focus more on doing better in the super tournament than the rest of the code A matches.

- If you make it to the finals (of code A), who do you want to face?
For the sake of practice, I want to face a terran. But I think a zerg should advance so we can stop hearing that terran is overpowered. (**he must not have looked at the brackets correctly)

- All the games today were long macro games, was that your intention?
Because I was sick, I didn’t have much time for practice so my hands were a bit stiff, so my multitasking wasn’t too good. It’s not that I purposely wanted to go to the late game but it just happened that way since I was lacking in practice.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank StarTale’s Tandongho and SlayerS’s Sleep for helping me practice. Also, I hope LosirA and Nestea play well in their code S matches. One of my friends Ki Suk will go into the military tomorrow so I hope he takes good care of himself in there.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 4?
I was able to get revenge for my teammate Noblesse so I am happy.

- How did you prepare for your match?
It wasn’t too specific, but I practiced 3 to 4 times more than usual.

- What aspect of your opponent’s play did you pry apart?
He is someone I meet often on the ladder so I didn’t have to do anything special to prepare for this match.

- After that match, you drank some cider, what did that mean?
I had both coke and cider on my desk. And by choosing to drink the cider, I meant that ‘coca’ wasn’t fit for ‘keen.’

- You are showing a new ceremony for every time you win.
In SCBW, my role model was Firebathero. I think if I keep going, my ceremonies can become a role model for another person. I want to get to code S and do many more ceremonies. I think ceremonies can make the fans watch the games with more anticipation and joy.

- Your next opponent is Mvp.
This time, it’s revenge for viOlet, so I will try my best.

- It is all terrans in the round of 4.
Excluding me, everyone else is a big name player. I want to get over the tall mountain (that is Mvp) and make a name for myself. I think if I can beat Mvp I can win the tournament.

- What are your chances on beating Mvp?
I would say in between 30 to 40 percent.

- If you win, you will have the chance to choose your up and down match group.
If I get to choose, I want to pick the hardest player and the weakest player, and eliminate the weaker player then get into code S.
