- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I practiced hard for this match, but my opponent used strategies different from my prediction, so I was a bit caught off guard. I think I won today because I was lucky. After my probe was caught in the 2nd set, things started to unravel a bit.

- Your reason for dropping down to code A in the up and down matches?
I don’t think my skill level was very good. I didn’t practice enough and it was when I first started living at the teamhouse so I was getting adjusted to that kind of living. I practiced a lot for those matches but lost really easily. I think I lost especially easily to Rainbow.

- What is your opinion on the 4 gate?
I’ve heard that it will get patched soon, and I think that is a good thing. The 4 gate makes the game very stale. And I am glad they will change it soon. I think many people have said that PvP is the most boring matchup, and I hope in the future, the games will be more interesting.

- How did you prepare for today’s matches?
I practiced a lot with San. Since San lost in his matches, we had plenty of time to practice other strategies that were different from 4 gate. Unfortunately, in the end I used 4 gate anyways in order to win.

- Who do you want to face in the round of 16?
I want to face a terran. I think no matter how much I practice PvP I will always have some nerves going into those matches.

- Do you have confidence in this season?
I will practice hard and make it back into code S.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank everyone who helped me practice. I will try to play my hardest to perform for the NSHoSeo team as their last player remaining.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am happy because I was able to win in my debut. Our team’s protoss lineup is strong so I didn’t have any problems practicing for this match.

- Your concept for today’s matches?
I saw a terran player who faced Genius in a tournament used some nukes in his games so I thought that it could be used in the late game, so I’ve been practicing that for a while.

- Was the attack using nukes a ceremony, or an actual strategy?
Even when the game is pretty even, with just one nuke you can do a lot of damage to the opponent so I decided to use it.

- Was your attack in the 2nd set a planned strategy?
It’s a build I’ve been using since the qualifiers. It’s a build that I only use so he expanded before a gateway.

- Your reason for not getting good results before?
I thought that I would easily get past the qualifiers and I was caught up in that overconfidence.

- You next opponent will be Banbanssu.
I am confident in my TvP. I will not back down and show that my skill is plenty good enough to face him in a match.

- You goal for this season?
Code S. I will show my skills and become recognized as a top player.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank NalZa and Genius for helping me practice. I also want to thank Parting who isn’t on our team. I’ve been friends with Leenock for a while and I am sad that he fell in his match. I hope he gets back up and I can face him in a match. I also want to thank the coach’s mother for taking care of our meals.

- Your thought on making the round of 16?
I am really proud that I was able to beat one of GSTL’s best players, Squirtle.

- Was your preparation for this match difficult?
I am most confident in my ZvP. So it was pretty easy.

- You used many hydralisks in your games, is that your usual style?
Usually, I use a combination of roaches and hydras.

- Why do you think you are good at ZvP?
Squirtle today did not opt to go colossus but rather focused on gateway units, I think my unit combination of roaches and hydras were very effective.

- In the 2nd game, the damage that the void ray did was pretty significant.
I thought I had lost, but I didn’t give up and produced hydras to take the win.

- When did you know you had the comeback win?
(After the void ray) My opponent then just focused on making gateway units, so I was able to push him back.

- Who do you want to face in the next round?
I want to face the protoss player, Tassadar.

- Your goal for this season?
Of course, code S.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I thought I would panic after I gave up the 1st set, but the 2nd and 3rd sets went well.

- How did you lose the 1st set?
I saw my opponent’s build but I was too late in reacting to it.

- When did you know you had won in the 3rd set?
I thought I would win after I caught the void ray.

- This is your second time in the round of 16 (of code A). Your thoughts on losing the last time?
My opponent played much better than I thought. He exceeded my expectations.

- If in the future, you face an opponent that exceeds your preparation; do you think you will still lose?
In the future, I will keep that in mind and prepare accordingly.

- Your next opponent is Coca.
I think I will have to practice a lot to win against him.

- Your goal for this season?
I want to make it to the up and down matches.

- In this season, the team MVP is doing well overall, any secret to your team’s success?
I think we are very friendly with each other and by exchanging ideas and developing new builds with each other, we have become much better in overall skill.
