- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am feeling really good. I also defeated Nestea so I now I feel like I can win the whole thing.

- It seems that you are really good against zerg.
I study them. I even investigated how much sight the overlord gives. I spent one whole day just figuring that distance out. I played zerg and measured the distance. (**This felt like a joke or he was being sarcastic)

- In the second game, you did not see the dark shrine, did you feel that something was up?
He had 1 zealot and 2 stalkers and he didn’t have any sentries but I saw that he had gases so I just felt like something was up. Also, when I went in the base with my reaper, he tried to push it away with probes. So I immediately built a missile turret.

- Who do you want as your next opponent?
I want both of my teammates to advance. So at least one of us will make the round 8.

- Your goal for this season?
Even if I fail, I want to continue being a happy gamer and dream that I win the championship.

- Your overall demeanor seems pretty positive.
I am still surprised and happy that I beat Nestea whom I consider the best player, all races being equal.

- Who do you think will be your biggest obstacle?
If Killer or FruitDealer advances, it will be difficult for me. I’ve never faced a teammate in a tournament before, so I won’t really know how to prepare.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank everyone who helped me practice. aLive told me some good tips so I was able to play well today.

- Your thought on making the round of 16?
I am pretty happy that I don’t have to go to the up and down matches. I think I will be able to prepare for the next round of 16 match with less pressure.

- You lost the first game.
I saw 1 barracks so I didn’t think he would bunker rush, and I lost without being able to show anything that I prepared.

- Did you predict that you would have to beat Jinro to get to the round of 16?
I wanted to face San in a rematch so I prepared a lot for ZvP. Even in other tournament matches I hid some builds so I could use them today, but San fell today so I am a bit disappointed.

- Is it comfortable for you to face Jinro?
Jinro pretty much let me play with my mind at ease. I was able to scout his barracks in the second set so I was also able to play pretty relaxed.

- Recently, zergs are having a hard time; do you also feel the burden?
I see what the community has to say, and they continue to think ‘Nestea will come up with something…’ so I feel a lot of pressure. I don’t think I can do much more. If I practice a lot more, I think I will be able to see some good results.

- What do you think about the patch?
I don’t think it changed anything big. I think infestors are pretty good against terran now but still not that good against protoss.

- Is protoss the obstacle for you this season?
I don’t think that depends so much on the races, but on the map pool.

- On Xel’naga fortress, zergs are having a hard time.
Against protoss, I’ve concluded that it is impossible to win. Against terran the win ratio is like 3 to 7.

- MC and Mvp have both gotten 2 championships, do you also have the desire/greed to win another?
If I were terran or protoss, I think I would be in contention to win more championships. But as a zerg I don’t know if I will get many chances. I will quietly keep on trying hard.

- Do you want to switch races?
Sometimes I want to switch races. I occasionally use a smurf ID to play different races. It’s so easy to beat a zerg (when I do that).

- So why don’t you switch?
When you win with an unfavorable race, I think victory shines more. If only the map pool was more playable…

- Your goal for this season?
I want to at least make the round of 4. If I am lucky, I think I can win the championship.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I think I was really lucky today. I am really happy. I wished that I would make the round of 16.

- It seemed that you were extremely prepared for your first game.
In practice, usually I don’t really study the maps too much. But for like every 20 games played on that map, usually I only won like once or twice. Today, I think the timing before my hidden expansion was found was good. Usually I take the expansion on the opposite side but today, I felt like taking the 5-o-clock expansion. I was lucky.

- Was your aggression in the second game planned?
I am confident in my ZvZ. It’s a matchup where it’s more dependent on your mentality rather than your physical skills. My usual image had a bit of a 6 pool or another all in, so I was able to get ahead using that to my advantage.

- Your recent record isn’t so good.
That didn’t make me feel that bad. I thought to myself, ‘I need to play better.’ But I think I just thought that but didn’t put in enough effort.

- Your reason for not doing so well in the regular seasons?
I haven’t practiced enough. Even for today, I only practiced for about 3 days. Also, ZvT isn’t so bad but ZvP is really hard right now. Sometimes, there are situations where I can’t even theorycraft on what to do in that matchup. In practice, when I face a protoss, it just often makes me feel like, I can’t win.

- When will be your resurrection?
When there is a balance patch. However, I am feeling pretty good this season. My next game will either be against my teammate or against that zerg so it will be difficult. Nestea is the only Z that I have a hard time facing in a mirror match.
(This interview was done before Lyn vs. Killer so he was not sure if he would be first in the group, had killer won the first game vs Lyn, they would have had to face each other for that spot)

- Who do you want to face?
I think it will be better if Killer faces Nestea.

- Your goal for this season?
The round of 8.

- Was your condition good today?
I didn’t sleep that well today. Out of the 24 hours, I slept for around 1 hour. I think it was because my mind was focused on today’s matches. Although I didn’t sleep that much, rather that feeling tired, I felt pretty good.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank the housekeeper who prepares great food for us in the teamhouse. She is especially thoughtful before game days. Also, I want to say to the person who did the makeup for me here. I think I’ve won every time I have had makeup from her. I want to contribute my win today to the both of them.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I thought I would get 2 wins in a row so I could face FruitDealer in the 1st place determination match. Lyn forced some strategies and manuvres that I wanted to save for my match against Clide, so I hope Clide just overlooks this game (and not watch it).

- This is your first code S appearance, did you have a lot of pressure?
More so than being pressured, I was looking forward to the opportunity. As I said before in the Code A interviews, if I made Code S, I can definitely be successful, so instead of being nervous, I was pretty confident.

- Did your game against Check go as you planned?
It did not work out the way I planned. I made some mistakes so there was a bit of uneasy tension for me during the game. But he went on to use mutalisks so that made it easier for me to proceed with my plans. I was able to keep good scouting for his expansions so I was able to take the win. If I waited a bit longer I think the game would have become much more difficult.

- In the round of 16, you will face Clide.
On one hand, at least one person from the team will advance so that is good. But the game is not one that I will enjoy playing, but something that I will have to do.

- Will you win?
It all depends on how he plays. (Laugh)

- Your goal for this season?
It’s not really specific. I am confident so I want to keep going but I don’t really have a specific goal. I will first eliminate Clide who next on my sights.

- Any reason why TSL is doing well this season?
I think it’s too early to say we are doing well. But in the teamhouse, we have some pride that half of us are Code S. On a person to person basis, overall I think our team has the best disposition and skill out of all the teams. Since we all live together, I think it also helps our team unity.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Revival for helping me practice. Also, I can’t reveal his name, but I want to thank “that” person for suggesting a build for me. I also want to say something to Clide. I feel like Clide has a bit of ‘traitor’ feel to it. I am not trying to say anything bad, but sometimes we joke around in the team that he is a ‘traitor.’ And it’s a Killer’s job to kill traitors. I will really take on the role of my namesake and win, so you better watch out.
