MMA

- What are your thoughts on winning?
The game on Terminus went as I practiced. I panicked a bit on the game on Xel’Naga caverns because that was the first time facing that build.

- It seems as though your overall play is very calm, what is your main concept (of your playstyle)?
My thought was to play a very safe and macro type game. I played so safe on Xel’naga that I almost gave away the win. (laugh).

- In the 1st set we didn’t get to see much fun medivac play, what made you use them in the 2nd set?
At one point, I was at a disadvantage. I only had some Vikings left, but since my opponent was new to the stage so I felt that if I held on in defense and harassed a bit, he would falter.

- Do you think after the patch, the matchup against protoss has become harder?
Facing protoss is fine, but because of the infestor, facing zerg has become more difficult.

- What did you do during your vacation?
I played a bit of soccer and recently, my teammates and I went to see the cherry blossom festival at yeouido (place). Of course, I also practiced a lot.

- Is life (team atmosphere) better after your team league victory?
I think our team already had a great atmosphere that I think it’s about the same.

- Your goals for this season?
I think I am used to the stage now. I don’t feel nervous anymore. I want to win Code A and win in the up and down matches.

- And any last words?
I want to thank Ga-yeon (BoxeR’s girlfriend), BoxeR, and Cella for putting in so much thought and effort for me. I want to also thank ID Porori and Slayers Heart as well as all my teammates who helped me practice Alicia, Tiffany, Kuma, Frozen, and IM’s Seed, and MVP’s Genius. Also want to thank my brother for watching and giving me encouragement during my games.

Hyperdub

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am happy, but I know that the road ahead is long. To get back to the place I was at (code S), there are many challenges left for me.

- In the 1st set, your opponent seemed to make a mistake, your thoughts?
It could have become a very difficult game to play, but personally, I thought I could win the entire time. I used the same build as when Nada faced Check.

- In the 2nd set, you were very aggressive. Your thoughts?
Through my scans, I was able to determine my timing. It was supposed to be a pressure type attack, but I think he was ill prepared.

- You were in code S and fell to code A, your thoughts?
I saw the brackets and I knew this is going to be tough. In some aspects, this tournament can be a harder place than code S.

- Your next opponent will be terran, your thoughts?
It will not be an easy opponent. I am a bit worried. My team has many good terrans as well so I think with practice, I can definitely compete.

- Your goals for this season?
I want to get back to code S no matter what. It would be great if I could win this tournament, but getting back into the up and down matches and winning that is more important.

- Any last comments?
I am the only oGs member in code A, so I am a bit ashamed. I will try hard to get back to where I was before.

PeanutCracker (IMNuts)

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am really happy. My goal was to stay in code A so I am happy that I was able to do that.

- What were your thoughts on losing the 1st set?
My win ratio on crevasse has not been too good. I was thinking if I lose one, I would just try to win the 2nd and 3rd sets.

- What did you think about the 2nd set? If you had a concept, what was it?
In the 1st set, I lost so my thought was to ‘play as safe as possible’. The battle at the end was not even induced but I am thankful he engaged.

- Your DTs did quite a bit of damage. When did you know you had won?
I didn’t know I had the win until the very end.

- Who do you want to face in the next round?
Bomber is known to be really good, so I think it will be good for me if Jjun were to advance.

- Your goals for this season?
I want to try my best and get as deep as I can go in this tournament.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank my teammates Happy, Yoda, Gaebyul, Yonghwa, and Seed for helping me practice. And ZeNex’s Byun as well for helping me practice. I also want to thank my coach for helping me.

Bomber

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am just glad I don’t have to go through the qualifiers again, so I am happy.

- What was your concept during your games?
I predicted the probability that my opponent would all-in was at around 80%. In the 1st set, I predicted the 2 barracks play so I was able to defend it easily, but in the 2nd set I did not predict the thor.

- Did the 3rd set go as you imagined?
I changed my build on the fly. Originally it was a fast expand, but I changed it as the match progressed.

- Your next opponent is a protoss, what do you think will happen?
Personally, I like facing protoss or zergs more than terrans. Terrans have many all-in offensive strategies that you have to be prepared for, so defending that is much harder.

- Do you have any things (matchups) that has been hard for you recently?
I have one. I think TvP has become a bit harder. And although I had good results in other places, but in the GSL, my results have been subpar. I want to have good results in the GSL.

- Do you have anyone you want to face personally?
In code A, I want to face MMA. In the last GSTL we lost because of MMA. In code S, I want to face Alicia, because he knocked me out last time in qualifiers.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Puma, Sound, and Clide, and Porori for helping me practice. Also I want to say that Killer helped me feel better before coming to the arena. He told me to say that.
