Violet

- Your thoughts on making the round of 8?
My condition was not the best so I was a bit worried. I am happy I was able to win 2 to 0.

- Your concept for today’s matches?
I wanted to explode with units. I tried to save as much larvae as possible and when my opponent starts to tech, I was going to hit him with a huge amount of units. My opponent also played in a similar style. But I was able to find some openings when he started to tech and I was able to win.

- You showed off your small unit control (micro).
It is something I am used to doing in WC3.

- Who do you want to face in the round of 8?
I hope to face another zerg.

- Is it because facing Mvp be scary for you?
Playing against Mvp will put a lot of pressure on me. However, I don’t think I am going to back down or shake in fear of his skills. In WC3, I often faced off against monsters like Lyn and Moon, so this will not be that different.

- You made it to the up and down matches, so you will have less pressure to perform.
I think that will be the case once I make code S.

- Has your goals changed?
My goal is to win code A and get into code S.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Cho Hwe Young for coming and cheering for me while skipping work. I also I want to thank DongRaeGu, Monster, Sniper, Galaxy, and CrazymovING for helping me practice. I also want to thank our coach’s mother for preparing such wonderful foods. Finally, I want to thank all the foreign fans who cheer me on.

Mvp

- Your thoughts on making the round of 8?
My goal was to make the up and down matches so I am happy that was able to accomplish that.

- How was your condition today?
I haven’t recovered fully from my cold and I couldn’t focus too well on the game, so I was a bit worried. I want tell everyone to be wary of the cold virus.

- Your reason for your loss in the 1st set?
Usually my style is to come to the stadium and choose what I want to do, but I think I got caught up in thinking too much about my build.

- Was your bunker push in the 2nd set revenge for your loss in the 1st set?
I lost so easily in the 1st set so I wanted to get an early edge in the second set and carry that through the game. However, I did not think that would end the game right there. I was a bit lucky.

- Was it your plan to let the 3rd set go for so long?
I came to the stadium without having warmed up, and I was thinking about useless things much more than usual. I wanted to take the 3rd set to the late game until my hands got warmed up. Fortunately, I was able to figure out my opponent’s style so I was able to win.

- Do you have the desire to win code A?
I am just satisfied in having made it to the up and down matches. I guess it will be great if I kept winning.

- Your next opponent will also be a zerg.
I haven’t had the best win rate against zerg recently so my confidence was a bit shaken. But I will practice hard and regain my confidence.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank MinSeOk, True, Horror, from my team and Startale’s Tandongho, and Curious for helping me practice.

Keen

- Your thoughts on making the round of 8?
I had some problems in the 1st set because I didn’t have my headset on. I am happy that I was able to advance.

- Were your problems in the 1st set due to your headset?
When the game started, I didn’t notice that I wasn’t wearing my headset. And immediately I was warned by the referee. So afterwards, I became a bit tense and my control was not very good.

- Did your nerves calm down in the 2nd set?
I planned to show a new build. But I won easily because my opponent proxied his building.

- In the 3rd set, it seemed that you were very confident in your play.
Once I won the 2nd set, my nerves went away. I was able to scout well with my marines and once I caught the colossus, I knew I had won.

- Your concept for today’s matches?
In the 3rd set, I wanted to use nukes once again, but I was at 200 population so I couldn’t pull it off.

- What did your ceremony mean?
I was trying to be a ghost. I meant that I was successful in sniping my opponent.

- Who do you want to face in the next round?
If I face a terran, it will be a team kill, but I still hope my teammate advances.

- Do you have the desire to win code A?
If I have to beat Noblesse to do so, I think I will have some desire to do that.

- Your secret for doing so well as a newcomer?
I don’t usually get many nerves when I play. And the advice I get from the older players on my team really helps.

- Any last comments?
If I face Noblesse in the round of 8, I want to have a great, fun match with him. Avenge on my team is really practicing his heart out. I hope he can get through the next qualifiers.

- Your thoughts on making the round of 8?
It has been my dream to make code S for a while. Now that I am given a chance to get there, I am really happy.

- Your reason for the loss in the 1st set?
I think I became overconfident. I was able to get a lot of his units early on, so I thought I would win easily.

- How did you prepare for your match?
It was pretty difficult. If it became a macro oriented game and the terran was close positions, I knew I would have a hard time. So I tried to prepare a variety of strategies for today.

- In the 3rd set, was your surprise attack on the siege tank planned?
It wasn’t something that I was especially looking for, but I was a bit lucky.

- Do you have the desire to win code A?
I still need more stage experience so I am not really expecting to win code A.

- Your next opponent will be terran.
I think that match will be doable.

- Any reason for that?
Actually, I thought my round of 8 opponent would be Mvp (misread the bracket). My real round of 8 opponent (Keen) is a newcomer to the GSL and his experience is about the same as me so I think it will be a pretty even match.

- Any last comments?
