Do both fps and sc2
I kind of liked onthefly dpi switching for sniping,
Not sure if I need it though.
Your thoughts?
EDIT: I've already searched the forums
And old threads. Am interested in new opinions

I'm thinking that there's a bazillion mouse threads on this board already and all this thread will lead to (if it doesn't get closed quickly) is a list of people recommending their own mice which have nothing to do with those you've asked about. Hit the search button, read through all the mouse threads that sound interesting and, most important of all, hit a local retailer to actually feel the mice you're interested in. No internet review or online recommendation will tell you as much about the mouse of your choice than holding it in your hand.

To deliver some mouse feedback anyway, I'd recommend you analyze your way of using mice. Which grip do you prefer? Finger, claw, palm grip or some hybrid? + Show Spoiler + ![]() What's important in a mouse for you? Precision? High/low/customizable weight? Ability to configure macros, or easy plug&play setup? Those are criteria you should search for, especially in professional reviews on the net. Long story short (since I've tested both mice but bought neither): The Deathadder is highly ergonomic, but heavy. It's a good palm grip mouse but sucks for claw grip. Many older Deathadder models have issues with PCs not recognizing the device, but that's been fixed for the newer 3.500 edition. The G500 is smaller and lighter (but not by far). It's also a palm grip mouse but can be moved with claw grip (but not too well due to it's size). It's not as ergonomic as the DA and the general quality is lower (but not by far, we're talking about logitech after all). If you're a claw grip user or prefer light mice, neither model will make you happy.

There are a few things that can be bothersome though... Some games(ME2 for example) wont recognise the buttons on the side as mouse buttons and will assign a key like alt or ctrl. It's not that big of a deal but you should know before buying... Then again it may be the driver or something that doesn't work properly on my computer. As far as the mouse itself goes you will feel right at home if you are coming from a g5. There are a few more buttons but otherwise its pretty much the same size/weight. The scroll wheel is a bit gimmicky but i have grown to like the actual ''frictionless'' scrolling.

Contrary to what Shockk wrote I actually think the G500 has better build quality. The texture that is on top of the deathadder started to flake off after like 6-10 months on my mouse. Also since I tend to sweat a lot during gaming sessions dirt would gather in the slits between the thumb buttons and also in the space between the top and sides. Annoyed me quite alot. Been using my g500 for like 1.5 years now and it has no signs of wear and tear other than it's a bit darker on the top where the palm of my hand rests. Also Shockk says the G500 is lighter than deathadder which is an odd statement since it comes with weight cartridges and you can make it quite heavy. I will say though that when I bought the Deathadder I was happy with my purchase and probably wouldn't have bought the G500 unless the black stuff on the top had'nt started to flake off.

As someone pointed out, you should probably look into how you hold the mouse and what you feel is important for you in mouse: more buttons, weighting system, etc. Razer has a nice guide on their website about mouse grips and ergonomics, you should check it out.
