Sorry for the postponement! I am proud to present to you the second RISING Cup, a premier tournament for players in the Gold Leagues and below. This cup was created to bring excitement, competition, and improvement to the lower levels of the game. I hope everyone has fun participating by entering or watching the live casts! RISING Cup #2 will be held on September 11, 2010, on the NA servers.

Prize Pool:

First Place: $10 Prize. Player will not be able to compete in any future RISING Cups.

PROGRESSION:

This tournament will consist of four rounds, with no third place round.

After each game, players must send the scores to RVRstarcraft@gmail.com. Once both opponents have done so, the brackets will be updated. ONLY replays from the semi-finals and finals need to be attached to the e-mail.

Title the Subject Line "Winner > Loser RoXX.X"
For example, in the Ro8, Team might win Game 3 against Liquid, sending the email titled "Team > Liquid Ro8.3"

If an opponent does not submit the score within five minutes of his opponent's submission, he does not get a chance to confirm the results.

A Note on Observation:
Casters must be allowed to observe any game they choose. If other members are observing the same game the casters are in, the members must limit their spectator talk. In all other games, both players get to decide whether to allow observers or not. There can be no selecting of observers; if observation is agreed upon, anyone is allowed to watch the match.

MAP-POOL:

The map-pool for this tournament will consist of all official 1v1 ladder maps. After a match, losers get to pick the next map. The winners, however, have a chance to veto a map before the loser picks.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Please read this section CAREFULLY!

Upon the start of the tournament, you must:
- Be in the Gold, Silver, or Bronze leagues.
- Have played at least 25 1v1 ladder matches.
- Frequent TeamLiquid.
- Have not been relegated from a higher division into G, S, or B in the past week.
- Provide your TLID, B.net 2.0 name, number, race, and league in the following manner: "Karliath (RiveR.469) P Platinum."

Players who are listed under Temporary Reservation still MUST register normally in this thread. This will confirm your registration.

Notice: It is the contestants' responsibility before each round to ensure that the first 4 points above are kept by their opponents. If a contestant is in violation of the rules, contact me.

IMPORTANT:
A PM will be sent through TL 27 hours before the tournament begins. You will have 24 hours to reply to the PM, confirming your registration. If you do not reply within the given time, you will be dropped.

Anyone who was a "no-show" for the previous tournament cannot register for this tournament. Please pay more respect to the players, the casters, and I in the future. Gunz is the only exception, as his absence was my fault.

Right when I hit platinum! RRRGH.

It's okay. When I hit platinum I was immediately rank 10 (now 3) anyway so I don't think this glorious cup is for me.
