Team Liquid is an alliance of small-gang pvpers that currently lives in Saranen. Our favourite past time activity is randomly flying a bunch of ships into Pure Blind to bug the locals. We often roam down to EC-P8R (iirc, this system was recently ranked #1 on the nullsec system with the most kills) to mess around with the gatecampers that often camp the Torrinos gate. We also like roaming down towards VFK-IV, the home system for Goonswarm and the staging system for the CFC. Yesterday we led a fleet of 14 ships into VFK to prod them. We landed in system and found local at 300+. We started to engage them and halfway through we suddenly noticed that local had spiked up to 400+. We screwed up, they landed on us and we lost several ships. Battlereport is here: http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12429757 So we went home to reship and set off again. Our 11-man fleet was made of a Curse, a Huginn, an Oracle, one Scimitar, four Drakes and three Rifters. Once we reached their little home system, we started jumping around the neighbouring systems trying to find fights. We found one quickly next to VFK in 2R-CRW, with about 14 ships sitting on a gate. We fought this and disengaged after a while, continuing to jump through gates and align off the other side to check if we could snipe anything chasing us before warping off. At one point one of our drakes is unable to jump (you have been cleared to jump in 20 seconds, blah blah) and another drake is scrammed and killed. These losses are not included in the video. We frapsed the initial fight in 2R-CRW and decided to release it. It's certainly not the most impressive fight we've had, but it's a nice introduction to our nano fleets for people interested in this style of flying. Random alliance want to take over lonetrek. We kill their fleet + a rev on a poco on their first day here. I join their alliance with an entire corp of alts like a boss because normal spying isn't baller enough for me. I spend a few days listening to the most unbelievable shit on their ts, you would honestly not believe how clueless they were. A few times I actually tried to fix them a bit, when they were all mining and knew they were making shit I tried to talk them through opportunity cost in its most basic examples but they didn't see why it was bad. One of them actually said "I get that I could buy more minerals with other activities but it's all profitable, you know". Another was "If we're ever gonna change our fleet composition then give me four months notice to buy BPOs and set up production". They were scouting gate to gate through hisec and actually calling out ships as camping them. At one point a frigate rat warped to their belt and they said "take an aggressive stance" and another was "dragging him around and really outplaying them". They spent the entire time in hisec freaking out about stuff like "an orca is trying to can flip me" or "I think this scimitar is following me". You literally could not make this shit up. It was so, so awful. At one point they also said "team liquid has at least 300 guys". Nearer 20, sorry. :p Anyway, it quickly emerged that they would not be entering lowsec again in a very long time because the one random scrap we had with them (and twenty other groups every single day) had ruined their entire alliance. They were devastated by the loss and were slowly trying to rebuild by mining and manufacturing all 6 of the bcs they lost. There was no point hanging around so I just stole 3b and owned up because I couldn't be bothered with it anymore. It's not really my thing. Yesterday Serg and I went to Daras to f1 their poco while we were bored and they freaked out. They offered to set it to 0% tax, then told us it was no threat to us, then told us they were moving out and we could do all the PI we wanted. They didn't seem to understand that we didn't want to do PI, we just wanted to start a scrap. Eventually they dragged randoms in to the chat to intimidate us and talk about how many caps they were going to drop on us tomorrow when it came out of reinforcement. Meanwhile Serg and I continued to f1 in two t1 battlecruisers. Later that day some of us went down to where their blues lived and actually logged onto their blue's teamspeak and asked if they were camping. It was unpassworded, naturally, and upon joining access to all the channels was given. Today when the poco was coming out of reinforcement I logged onto the TS and had a chat with the guy who was shittalking us to intimidate us pretending to be a member of their corp. I asked what was up with the huge defence fleet they promised yesterday (although why they didn't just come down and stop the two t1 bcs I have no idea). As far as they knew nothing had been put together. My guys were disappointed with the lack of potential pewpewing so I logged back on and actually started to put together a defence fleet of their blues, FCed by me, to attack our attacking fleet, also FCed by me. I put out fleet invites, got Rune Star to start inviting his blues and set it up. I just jumped down to Rune's channel on ts and asked him to give access to all the Hatchery guys I got on and he was like "sure, that sounds legit" and did so. We were just on the verge of leaving when their CEO logged on and put all the pieces together. Fortunately we were recording comms and were able to get some of the hilarity. There were quotes such as "team liquid will absolutely bring at least 12 tengus" and "they 100% dropped capitals yesterday, they'll do so again today". A recording of their ts will eventually be posted. I rejoined their ts about 10 minutes later on a different name and caused a great amount of confusion. At first they again fell for me being a member of their alliance, then they accused me of being the guy who was on earlier but thought he was actually him rather than just me using his name, eventually they worked it out. There was yet more rage and shittalking and they promised us they were dropping supers. By this point we had an oracle and a drake whittling down the armour of the POCO and they were refusing to talk to us. Once the POCO was down I asked them if they were coming but only got "idc". I told them where to find our fleet and took them home. So, to sum up. I infiltrated an entire corp into their alliance. I stole 3b after just two days. I got on their blue ts and used it against them. I put together a defence fleet to be FCed by me against my own attacking fleet. They still don't understand that we're just lulzy about it all. | ||
