No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is. Remember to spoiler season 6 content, and clearly label your spoilers.

+ Show Spoiler + Hey Day[9], do you have a minute? I highly doubt you'll remember me, but I'm Gary Oak from TL. Last year I got your autograph and told you about this replay I submitted for the first Funday Monday Monobattles. It's the one where I had Ghosts and literally dropped about 20 nukes on a 2 player base in a 4v4 and typed "HIROSHIMA" in all caps while I was doing it. You seemed to like that joke at the time so I was thinking you might remember it. Anyway, I'd like another autograph, but I've got something for you this time. It's a gift for you and Manfred. It's not only from me, but an entire sub-community on TL. We're part of a much larger community, but these guys happen to be TLers as well. This community is nearly 200 strong and includes Plexa the admin, Special Endrey the German streamer, Trump the high Masters NA Terran streamer, Hawaiianpig, and TLO himself. *hands the Fluttershy box to him* I'm not trolling, I'm actually being serious. On your Twitter, you say "laugh for no reason, be nice, learn lots". You may as well have summarized this show. I'm giving you this because in your 100th Daily, you said be passionate about what you love and to share that passion with others, knowing that they might one day be just as passionate about it as you are. I know it's weird, but on the back of the box I taped a little note with the details of that thread on TL. I know you've been going through a lot of stress lately, and this might also help you with that. I dare you to watch an episode of this show with an open mind and not leave with a smile on your face. Having watched your 100th daily, I appreciate mantears. Sadly, I haven't been able to cry in about 10 years, but this show is so heartwarming and moving at times, I've come damn close on multiple occasions. The brony community (that's what we call ourselves) is one of the nicest communities out there, much like the SC community, another reason why I think you should see what it's about. One example I have is someone in the TL thread was having a shitty day. One of those days that makes you want to flip a table, you know the ones. Anyway, he eventually decided to stop what he was doing and take a breather. Let me paint a picture for you. He went outside on a balcony in the moonlight, looking at the mountains, basking in the cool breeze. He put on his iPod and listened to a few songs that were created by the brony community on repeat. It made him think of how great and loving the community was. He ended up crying and recovering from his bad day right then and there. I could go on, but you're really busy and I've bothered you enough already. All I ask is that you read the note and take the gift seriously. This community has done so much for so many and has the potential to do more. Hopefully it brings some joy into your life.

Gary Oak, it's a decent speech but it's a bit long-winded and serious IMO. Also you make it sound like a religion and kinda emphasize the fan works and community more than the show itself. If I was doing it, I'd take things less seriously and just say something along the lines of, "I know it sounds crazy, but this show not only makes you smile from ear to ear, it gets absolutely wild and hilarious as you get into the later episodes. I think it's actually a perfect match for your personality and sense of humor, and hundreds of your fans would back me up on that. You should totally give it a try when some of that elusive free time comes around."

I gotta admit, it's a good kids show. But I don't really see how it's any more than that. Avatar, the Last Airbender, I feel is an example of a show for kids that is something more. I'm not really seeing it with this show.

I'm basically trying to go for something as sincere and convincing as possible. That's about it, really. I've got the ice breaker, the leadin, and the explanation. I guess I should revise the explanation a lot, shouldn't I?

It's not as terrible as some people like to say it is, but it is much too predictable and it breaks character too often to really be considered good. Sure, it's pretty d'aww worthy, but the writing leaves a lot to be desired.

Going around on the general forum, I couldn't help but notice the words "My Little Pony" show up very often. I thought about the general weirdness that goes around on the general forums from time to time and I thought this was one of them. Well, a month ago, I finally came up with the courage to actually enter the thread. I watched Winter Wrap Up. I watched Episode 7. I was hooked. I decided to catch up with everysingle episode to date before I posted something on here. But I wanna say that this is an awesome show, with an awesome community (starting to get into reading fics. so much school work interfering though >.<). It genuinely caught me off guard, that a children's show was THIS good. It reminds a lot of Arthur back during my childhood days of watching PBS(before Arthur kind of went bad). I'm a bonofied brony, and I just can't get enough of ponies now. Thank you guys soooo much for opening my eyes to one of the best things in the universe ever. Now that I'm caught up, I guess I'll try to be a bit more active in here ^-^. And this: On October 19 2011 13:52 Gary Oak wrote: Practicing my mini-Churchill speech for Operation Flutter[9]. I'd tell him that we all thought it would make a great gift, because Day[9] embodies the spirit of the show and the fandom without ever having watched it. Passion, diligence, laughter, hard work, achieving your dreams through relentless dedication and affection. Being unafraid and unrelenting about your passions is something Sean could certainly understand. We've got that in spades, and we're turning it on him, because he deserves it. I'd tell him that, if possible, we'd like to give him one more gift. It sounds completely cheesy coming from me, but this show just has that effect on people. I want to give him happiness. Seriously. If you're feeling stressed out and fraying at the edges... give the show a chance. If you do and you find yourself liking it, you can get so much out of it. The community is overwhelmingly appreciative and awesome and welcoming, and the show itself is the kind of thing you can watch at the end of the worst week of your life and still find yourself smiling at the end. It gives you so much if you're a fan. If you aren't, well, we don't mind. At least you can see where we're coming from. I'd tell him that, too.

I wasn't going to watch this episode, because I don't have as much free time as I used to, and now that House is on my urge to watch any other TV show has sort of declined. However, I saw people in this thread mentioning how funny and awesome it was, so I loaded it up... and I think I've just come to the point where I've had more than enough of MLP. Sure, the ponies are still adorable, the animation wonderful, but the writing ultimately isn't enough to keep me interested. (About the episode itself, I say Celestia /should/ have punished her (not magic kindergarten or anything, but definitely something more than a free pass) for such a dangerous use of magic. Some things are just too far... and I feel like the episode would have been better if Twilight hadn't gone crazy, because Twilight's utter despair right as she said "Bye... come visit me" was touching, but would have been moreso had her facial expression not been akin to Frankenstein the entire episode) It's always possible that one afternoon I'll pop in again and then I'll end up watching a season worth of episodes all in a flurry... but 'till then, I'll cya guys edit: tho the epicness that is the quote in my signature will stay
