I dont think they let you put basic attack on your bar after you get some skills. On the forums there were some people mad about this. Also if your attacking spell is on cool down many will default to basic attack. if you switch skills and a monster attacks you can still at least do something.

if you enable explicit mode you can drag your skills out of your bar and that leaves you with the default attack afaik.

Is the diablo 3 beta client the full game? Can I use it to play the game after it is officially launched assuming I have purchased it, or will I need to redownload?

Thanks, gonna try this. Seems quite strange it's not easy and straight forward to use your basic attack...

Wrong...
Blizzard headquarters are in California and all their games were released on Pacific Time. Pacific Standard Time (PST GMT-8) or Pacific Daylight Time (PDT GMT-7) (Source) We're currently on "Daylight Saving".
Diablo 3 will be released on May 15th, Canada & USA : West Coast (Pacific, PDT GMT -7) 12:00 AM Canada & USA : East Coast (Atlantic, EDT GMT -4) 3:00 AM Europe: Central Europe (Central Europe, CEDT GMT +2) 9:00 AM

If you're 9 hours ahead of Pacific Time, then Diablo 3 servers will be online at 9:00 AM on May 15th Your Time: Central European Summer Time (CEDT) GMT+2 perhaps?

Happened to me once. I think something went wrong with the updater/patcher.
I re-installed everything and it fixed the problem. Hope this helps...

I searched this thread, but didnt find anything, so here goes..
There is going to be a minimum floor on gold prices in the real money auction house, and its currently set at 1.00 BetaBuck per 1000 gold. How can they keep this cap when the game goes live and expect anyone to auctually buy gold with real money at that price? I know 1 BetaBuck isnt 1 dollar perse, but I worry eventually the floor is going to be way way overpriced in terms of gold/$ and the no one uses the market at all.
Does anyone know any long term plans for this price floor or anything else like that?

First off, "Beta bucks" are restricted to the beta phase only.
As for the release phase, I doubt blizzard will put a minimum "price" for gold but they will definitely try to increase gold value. They already started to balance the gold value by increasing crafting & training cost (Blacksmith). There will probably be more ways to spend your gold such as repairs, consumables and item-gambling. They need to make those "gold sinks" interesting enough for gold to be spent.

When you die do you lose gold? do you have to get your corpse? if you die and leave game do you have to join new game and grab corpse like d2? Is there any Resurrection in the game?
no one ever dies so its hard to learn these features.

When playing with 4 players and if a lot of mobs , my fps sometimes starts to drop a lot. Now my question is if it is possible if this could be from other players with a slow pc ? cause i myself have a pretty high end pc and it should be impossible to fps lag on diablo 3 for me..

When you die you lose 10% durability, so pretty much you lose gold. You respawn already with corpse.

What kind of pc you got? Because it's same for me even on medium settings. I got HD4890 and i7 920 2.67Ghz.

Come to think of it, I suppose that was Guild Wars 2 that I heard that for, not Diablo 3? (I know they're not similar games) I'm very likely mistaken, but I guess someone could clear this up for me.

Still 4, but it is for the best. If you look at how the skills are and what a cluster mess it would be with even 6 players, it is for the best. That, and it is better at promoting the teamwork since in Diablo 2, you would rarely have all 8 (if you get the game filled with 8) working together. And Mf runs do not count

Wrong...
It has not been yet confirmed if for Europe it is CET 00:01, or PDT 00:01. The german blue post that stated it NA-wise release was fixed the same day, to be without any indication.
Even if the game is not region locked, people wont be able to activate their accounts until their timezone 00:01, so it still might be possible for each region separate release.
Also none of their recent games - Wow and SC2 were released PDT time. It was CET time for Europe release, althought this is smth different cause of no region lock. We ll know soon enough.

Actually they dont need to, you dont need any sink for currency, it can be totally useless thing with value only because people gave it some value... Take real money for example, you cant use it instead toilet paper, you cant paint on it... it has no sink what so ever and it still has value.
Reason why D2 gold was useless is because maximum tradeable amount was less than 1M and that was equal to pretty much 10 min of game time or less - since even perfect gems werent dropping so often, maximum tradeable amount of gold was equal to 2-3 PGs at best.
If there will be no limit for amount of gold per trade, it will always be possible to use it as currency. Sinks are good, but far from essential - if they exist, item has value of 600 gold, if they dont exist, item has value of 6000 gold - but in both cases gold will always be currency.
