It will generally be harder since you'll likely have to replay many zones for gear before you can safely move to the next act /difficulty. Also, there might not be a RMAH for hardcore, so you may not be able to easily purchase uber gear I honestly have no idea what you're talking about there..I've beaten it with 3 characters now and I've never come close to dieing once.. Never came close to dying during the level of tutorial phase of the game. If you have a different level available, do share. Can't wait till you get slammed hard in inferno mode
Keep waiting.

I guess it is wrong to take Blizzard's word that it is considered the tutorial though. Alas, there will be other levels available so that is what matters.

Why don't you compare doing blood raven in Diablo 2 normal to uber tristram? You really should have something to base your assumption that "the game is too easy", you're just kind of making a fool of yourself to anyone who knows the diablo series.

The only people here making fools out of themselves are the ones assuming I ever said such a thing in the first place, I was just asking for a different difficulty setting and explained how I didn't see how HC mode automatically translated into harder gameplay due to my experience so far.

You get a different difficulty setting when the game actually comes out. I'm not sure what you actually want right now.

Finishing the game in softcore = finish Inferno Finishing the game in hardcore = finish inferno without ever dying once The probability to die is superior to 0
Therefore Hardcore is harder; the relative difficulty of the game is irrelevant to this fact. Hardcore can end up easy, it's still harder than softcore (wwhich will be easier than easy).

Unless you never died once either in softcore. Then its just as hard. Or easy.

Someone is having problems pre-downloading the game? my download rate is pretty low (20kbps) and my upload rate is like 60kbps. I found a torrent with the pre-downloaded folder and i am dowloading it at full speed (120kbps).
Is something weird with their servers or in my side?

I had it going at a steady 1.8MB/s (Or something to that extent) Maybe the servers are busy?

When exactly are D3 servers launched?
If Im in time zone 9 h ahead of PST I should expect D3 starting on 9 am May 16? How exactly is this midnight release thing going to work?
|
At the risk of sounding like a moron, how the F do I do my basic attack as a WD?

It's generally been midnight EST for the wow releases and sc2.

So its midnight eastern standard (worldwide), that would make it 7 am May 16 central european right?
I think I started playing sc2 before 7 am though... Not sure, I had to return from midnight store and install game.

what exactly reduced durability? if it is damage taken or melee hits than a ranged class should be way more profitable since repairing will be very expensive as blizz tells us. even if it is just death than a melee class will be probably way more expensive i guess.

How or where i can identify items? oO

by right-clicking on them, they just implemented this to keep the surprise effect.
