Make sure you start your new game with the correct quest selected

1. Is there any way to hotkey/swap available skills on the fly? I have the level 9 spirit charge thingy, dash, and the hex thingy as my active skills, and I want to be able to dash in, drop a hex, then dash out, then spam some spirit regen on outlying monsters to refill, then repeat, but the current system seems to make me have to manually swap one of the skills out every time, which is completely impractical. Or maybe I'm just a n00b? 2. Should crafting make me basically able to face roll the entire beta? It was fairly difficult for a while, and I came super close to dying several times, but then I crafted an almost full set of armor and fists as soon as I unlocked crafting, that were literally twice as good or better than my existing armor/weapons, and now I can basically just afk spam mouse 1 through every single enemy I've found since. 3. Am I missing any obvious skill synergies with monk? Dash and hex seem to be an obvious combination, but the others just seem kind of random, and I haven't used any of the mantras/healing/blinding abilities at all.

If you right click a skill a small menu comes up that allows you to swap very quickly, but I'm sure you will want something better than that. Why not bind your third skill to 4? Or rebind 4 to the d key and put your third skill on 'd'? That is what your left hand is for. otherwise you are only using your left hand to chug potions and hold shift to stay in place. 2. Should it? Probably not. Does it? Yes. 3. My favorite spirit spender is the clone bomb thing. It is awesome. It is all up to preference. In the beta everything is so easy that all you really need is any spirit generator and any spirit spender and you will be fine.

All you need is level and a random weapon with more than 10 DPS.

My specs: AMD955BE, ATI 5850. Common beta rough edge in many games. Diablo 3 included. nVidia users are vulnerable to worse. But neither AMD or nVidia users have a 100 percent problem.

Kind of a little thing, but It'd save so much more time if you could just hit the binding, rather than having to go into the menu. I'm not sure if they've touched on it yet, but I really hope so. Another thing on the homecoming stone is that I feel like it's such a hassle and downgrade from the more simple tp back to town which was instant. I can see it getting annoying having to sit there for 10 seconds after every boss run, etc. Hopefully they can make some changes before launch.

Being able to hotkey it makes sense though.

I'm not sure if it already interrupts, but either way... just nitpicking. Been playing on a friends account in beta and can definitely say most of my worries that have come from an art/gameplay standpoint so far have been thwarted.

Yeah games art development is astonishingly well thought out and the artwork for most of the acts can be seen, and it all looks very Diablo to me. The only part that isnt from the days of old is the murkiness that isn't really conducive to gaming anyway On December 15 2011 13:01 Elbee wrote: It does get interrupted when hit. I'm really just hoping for a better key binding system altogether. I want to be able to bind my health potion to a specific button, not just 1-5. You can.

First choose a hotkey from the 1-5 list for the potion button that you want. Like so: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Then hit escape > Keyboard > Skill Tab. And select the button you want to hit that hotkey with. Like so: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Now I can use one of my side mouse buttons to pop a potion. I believe more options are available in retail.

You still have to have the potions on your hotbar to use a hotkey for them. This is by design to limit the number of items/potions/skills you have available at a time. To more specifically answer your question, say you have you your potions on "5" on your hotbar, you just rebind 5 to say... "F". Personally, I rebound 1-5 to q,w,e,r, and f and use "f" as my potions and "r" as companion scrolls.
