I assume it's just like WoW where the enchanted stat has it's own field and will be additive.

I got the beta last night, played a Barbarian up to level 6. Saved Cain then went to sleep. Now when I start playing today my Barbarian is still level 6 with all the items I found but none of the quests I had done, so I have to re-do them all. Is there a way to avoid this?

ok I played the beta for the first time today. this is my computer

amd phantom II 955
ati radeon hd 5770
4gb ram
hd 1tb 7200rpm

The game runs at a decent frame rate, but i notice a drop at the frame rate when some kind of explosion happens, like when grotesque explodes. should this happen with this specs? im a complete noob when it comes to building a pc so please let me know if thats expected or it shouldnt happen etc.

About quests, before you log, on the right side you can choose what quest to start on.

So I've been playing, and we can't keep the templar follower if we're in a game with at least another person in it. Is this going to happen in the real game? if so followers are practically worthless.

check v-sync is turned off in video options - its on by default.
Outside of a dog, SC2 is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, its too dark to play...

Followers are feature that will "replace" other players when you are playing solo. In MP, they will be staying in town. Only way to have follower and MP players at the same time is when that followers presence is mandatory due to quest or something. Like the templar until that Jondar encounter.

They were planned to be viable only on Normal, but because players were not satisfied with that, they buffed them, so they are very useful in all difficulities, when you are playing solo. Enchantress has awesome CC spells, Templar has nice heals and can be a good tank. I can imagine that when you are playing solo inferno, followers will be very important.

Wtf is with the monster attacks? I just got beta yesterday.

If a monster starts its attack animation, you will take damage when they finish it, no matter how far away your are.....

Like I can go up to some zombie that takes forever to hit, wait for it to start swinging, then dash 20 yards away and I will still take damage from all the way across the room.

Thats absolutely retarded and completely negates and sort of attack dodging, especially for melee characters. wtf?
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

Any idea on when the servers are coming back up? I got to play a couple hours like 3 days ago but haven't been able to connect to the servers since then.

Edit - It seems servers are back up. For now......

Yea I'm getting Error_37 as well. Some people claim to be able to get in after repeatedly trying to log in. Don't know if they are trolling or not, I've tried nearly 100 times :S

If you read the Breaking News, they lowered the cap of people allowed to play for stability. If you keep trying to log in, you might get lucky. I'm playing right now.

Yes, 100%.

I don't have a source in hand but that is the case for like every serious beta since ages or Blizzard game beta at least. It would also be quite unfair otherwise.
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

This game runs super badly with Vsync off. 110 FPS looks like 30 FPS or worse with how it hitches and tears.

No it is part of the anti-kite measures Blizzard took to ensure statistics like dodge meant something, and also to prevent exploits in the lagless combat system.

Otherwise you could just shimmy and dance all day long and no monster could touch you. Or they would have to do away with the current lagless attack system.

Its also not quite as sob3k says. You can dodge attacks but you do indeed have to be very far away.

Its a very poor solution in my opinion, if they want a monster to hit you when you're moving they should give the monster a fast attack animation with very little backswing or fast movespeed to catch you....just like in D2. Even running past cave leapers or something they would easily whack you, but for a slow ass zombie with a windup like DK you could easily back up and dodge.

The new system is just bizarre.

D2 did the exact same thing for almost the exact same reasons except they had a lot of latency to deal with. Even with current day internet the phenomenon is present.

EDIT: If it makes you feel any better boss moves are not the same way
