If you rolecheck somebody and they're on the lower part of this list, the chance that they are scum rise dramatically. Looks about right to me, though jailer can also be very valuable for mafia since it blocks DT checks. Regarding masons, it looks like there is one mason circle consisting of a constant two people (regular Mason role) and one that expands randomly (Recruiting Mason). AoC + Recruiting Mason can potentially be VERY strong for scum, but it can also backfire if another scum gets RNG'd into the circle. Regular Mason doesn't look like a pro-mafia role at all.

Perhaps it would be a better idea to have medics protect other people not in the top 5... the 5 or so after that. If mafia shoots into those high value roles at the top, they will definitely not hit themselves. Is it worth it to let them reveal themselves in exchange for a single power role? Losing inventor would be bad, but I think i'd trade inventor for a scum.

Mason Such a friendly person you are! During the pick phase you will select one person and you will be able to communicate with each other for the rest of the game. Everyone in the mason circle knows who is in it but not their alignment. Please PM me who you wish to be masoned with when you request your role. as opposed to Recruiting Mason You are a recruiting mason! You use your secret clubhouse to communicate privately with other players. Every night, I will randomly add a new player to your circle. Players in the circle have the ability to PM each other. Players in the circle will be informed of which players are added to the circle, and players added to the circle will be informed of everybody already in the circle. Circle members may be of any alignment. So AoC is only a danger to the recruiting mason. and its not that unlikely lategame, since its randomly added; lategame is also when the circle is likely to be biggest. Imagine we have 10 people or so left, 5ppl in the circle. AoC has a 20% chance of basically ending the game immediately. Of course, AoC has to live that long, which is unlikely as well, especially if he is rolechecked.

All that said I still think we need to find some way to neutralize the threat that the Theif represents to town power roles, as if mafia takes it they can use it to secure any power in the top five, which is obviously not good for us. Anyone have any thoughts as to how to deny the theif, other than assigning a seed number to take it? (since no one likes that plan -__-)

This wouldn't work because the vote rigger is a 1 shot power, and over all is more dangerous to the town than helpful. The lists from a default vote will be useful enough that I think the advantage gained by the vote rigger is not worth the risk.

Or we let mafia get strong roles, and nearly ensure that about 15 of the 19 strong townie roles. Hate to say it, but let mafia do what they want and we will keep our eyes open for out of place things. I think even if 15 townies got med/dt/vig/vet, we would still be in fantastic shape if mafia got to privately take whatever they want. I am ballz-to-wallz in favor of option #2, and screw whoever looks at me funny for it. It will all come down to how well mafia can coordinate, and how well town can analyze and think. Wow, that sounds a lot like how I want mafia to be played.

Detective roles are nice and all, but it seems to me the real strength for town lies in the kp roles: CPR doc, inventor, NRA Member, etc. Inventor is the most powerful role if used correctly. Whoever receives this role should be required to follow the word of the town and name the invention in a way so its use cannot be up for interpretation. The priest is being underestimated as a mafia role. People seem to be ignoring the fact that not only does it resurrect, it can also recharge. Imagine the following situation: Day One/Day Two: Vote Rig when necessary to kill the town's most powerful role Night Two/Day Three: Vote rigger is identified and killed/lynched (being optimistic) Night Three: Resurrection beings Night Four: vote rigger returns Day Five: Vote rigged again to kill towns most powerful remaining role Night Five/Day Six: Vote rigger killed a second time. In exchange for a mafia and a clue, the mafia team has successfully wasted four lynches/kp and sniped two town. This assumes that the priest is able to survive the resurrection, but knowing our luck with clues in past games, its not that big of a stretch. I'm proposing a blacklist that will result in the lynch of anyone who selects it. The roles that should be on this list are up to debate, but here is a start: Agent of Chaos Admiral Akbar Prince o Darkness Mafia VIII Traitor Pardoner Caller Godfather Mafia XII Godfather Copy Cat Janitor Framer Politician/America/Kingsmaker? I'm also thinking any lynch evading abilities should also be blacklisted. If you're going to be lynched there is probably a reason for it so that includes: PYP 3 Veteran Hero On May 14 2011 13:30 Incognito wrote: List of invisible posters: GMarshal Kitaman27 tnkted Lets play nice ![]()

The way I understood the above post was that you would be posting the draft order 2 hours ago, right? Is it late, or should I expect it tomorrow? Offtopic, but you may have set your time zone wrong, as Ver is using the [ time] function.
