Requesting 2-month ban, I've been neglecting all of my schoolwork and other shit, and there's no greater evidence of that than watching 17 OSL games, plus the 9 proleague games I watched before those, and spending over 6 hours updating this OP. Love you all, see you after my finals. | ||

On April 19 2010 12:26 phosphorylation wrote: lol i thought germans were good at math/stats u need to count tvt etc twice hence there is half chance of getting mirror roll 2 dices simultaneously for 100 or 200 times and count how often u roll 2 sixes and how often u roll a six and a five. this should teach u. some other reasoning: we randomly choose 2 players, player A and player B, out of a huge pool of players. lets say that all races are played by an equal amount of players, so the chance for player A to be a terran player is 1/3rd. we only get a tvt if both player A and player B are terrans. as both events are independent assuming a large enough playerpool, the probability for this to happen is 1/3*1/3 = 1/9. to get a pvt, we need EITHER player A to be toss and player B to be terran, which has a probability of 1/9th, or player A to be terran and player B to be toss, which also has a probability of 1/9th. the overall probability of a pvt thus is 2/9. | ||
