I have a serious problem with zerg. Yesterday, I was 7 pooled 3 times in a row by 3 different people on 3 different 4 player maps. They all did the identical build. They made an overlord and had like 10 lings and a constant stream of lings. Every single time, I scouted them last, so there was no way I could prepare in time with a cannon. My core was pretty much done and I was making a zealot. I blocked the chock with a pylon so they couldnt get in. 10 lings come to my ramp and start killing my gateway. Since 1 zealot cannot get in position to defend against 10 lings, I chronoed 2 zealots out of my gate before the gateway died, pulled almost all my probes and tried to defend. All my probes ended up dying and the zealots only killed about half of them. By the end of this cheese, the zerg had like 20 lings in my base. How is it possible to stop this on a 4 player map when you scout them last? Even if i send 2 scouts out (which fucks up econ SO badly that early in the game) I can STILL scout them last and not have time to defend. Thanks. | ||

I haven't played that push in a while but 5gate 1robo with 2collosus and once the marines r melted attack the thors and try to kill the SCV's surrounding the thors in the process. I don't remember getting 6pool'd on a 4player map but better micro with probes and try to fight at the choke of your ramp would probably help a lot (don't let all the lings inside your base) | ||

Well this happens so damn often in diamond league lol, i can understand why it doesnt happen to you. But I'm sure you can understand that if they send an overlord to close air, and a drone to close ground, if im not at one of those 2 spots they can conclude that I am cross positions. Its very obvious and Im sure you know that. But that is how they have been getting away with it. I seem to ALWAYS ALWAYS scout my opponent last on 4 player maps. Guess that is proof that luck does exist in sc2 to come extent. Thanks for answering my question. Is there any other advise you can give? Is 2 probe scouts on 4 player maps viable at all, or is that just oo much of an econ disadvantage? | ||
