Today, the Collegiate Starleague is proud to announce that we are moving across the pond and opening a division in the United Kingdom! CSL:EU will begin in the United Kingdom and open up to all of Europe in future seasons.
UKUTL admins Joe "Joeeigel" Berkley and Nick "bakor" Baker will be joining the CSL team and officially opening registration for CSL:EU. Joe and Nick are talented, dedicated, and enthusiastic administrators who have run a successful season of collegiate UK StarCraft. They also collaborated with CSL on the first Battle Across the Pond. Our administration admires their work ethic and vision, and we truly couldn't think of better people to head CSL:EU.
"We're excited to be working with Joe and Nick. They're great admins and we admire their work for the UK eSports scene," said CSL head administrators Duran "Xeris" Parsi and Mona "hazelynut" Zhang. "We'll be looking forward to watching the side-by-side growth of the North American and UK collegiate scenes." Mona also added, "Put up a better fight next BATP!"
Joe added, "We're more than happy to be working with the CSL. When I approached them during the preseason of the UKUTL they were more than eager to help us with any issues we faced and also offered us support during our season, we have since worked with them in other post-season events, such as the Battle across the pond (which we got dominated in, step it up UK!) They have been more than a pleasure to work with. This partnership seemed like a no brainer to us, and after discussing it at length, we believe this to be the best chance to grow our league while providing year long eSports for university students."
Together, we hope to bring you more SC, more international competition, and more fun events on a global scale. CSL:EU will be opening registration via email - look below for more details! And look forward to the mirror site!

If you wish to sign up a team to enter into the CSL:EU, registration will formally open within the coming weeks. However, if you wish to be proactive with your signups (i.e are not worried about knowing what prizes are and just want to play for fun with friends from your university) you are more than welcome to!
To register early, please send the following information to cstarleagueEU [ @ ] gmail.com:
- Your name and a valid .ac.uk email. You will be the primary contact for any issues that may arise with your team.
- The names and emails of at least 4 other people on your team, with valid ac.uk emails from the same institution as yourself.
This season at least 75% of your school must have valid .ac.uk emails, and must have completed our verification process, to allow players from outside your school, this is to avoid teams being as 'stacked' as last season, but to still allow teams that cannot meet the minimum to play.
Colleges are allowed to participate, so long as the college provides the students with a valid .ac.uk email address. If you are an Open University student you need to manually apply for a .ac.uk email address, you can do this by visiting here.
If you try to register a team for an institution that already has a team, we will add you to the roster, but forward your names on to the teams current coordinator.

This does mean registration for our season is open to all UK University students, as well as college/sixth forms that provide students with valid ac.uk emails, info on how to do so is posted in the OP, and more details on sponsors and prizes will be announced at a later date.

I see alot of people asking if their uni has a team. I'd imagine the team list will be posted but maybe you guys should take the initiative to find out/create a team yourselfs!

I'd be interested in this but in the old thread barely anyone else was from the Liverpool universities let alone LJMU. If there is any other players from Liverpool i'd be interested in joining the team.

Planning to put together a UCL team, send me a pm on TL or on SC (bigbros.728).
I'm usually on most nights practicing so if anyone else wants practice games let me know. I know last season there was a UoL team but might make it more interesting if there are some rivalries like UCL vs ICL this time around
