we came up with the idea of putting 2 bunkers at the place where blink stalkers usually blink up to be safe, and salvage them if that particular build doesnt occur. Looks like Rice decided to try this technique out, as we discussed how to precent 15 cc / 1 rax fe from being a simple build order loss on taldarim Looks like it worked. I have played LANS with Rice, and he is legit - albeit he works very hard to understand the game and tries to predict what is goign to happen thanks. -Pride | ||

Also I found it interesting that I said absolutely nothing to him during or after the game (didn't need to as I won), reviewed the replay then posted here. He replies the thread shortly after. Seems like oddly suspicious/paranoid behavior to me. I know about 10 other people (not including the recent destiny/catz/deezer accusations) that have noticed the same -> He almost definitely has some form of maphack/production tab/unit tab hack but tries desperately to hide it in his play. edit: On June 22 2011 06:33 Deezer wrote: HACKER : RICERICERICE Look the replay and its obv hacking . (Did this in my games as well despite it being at different and random times.) -Built no engineering bay and had no energy pooled for scans at standard DT timing. "What pride says is pretty accurate. After hitting Deezer on the ladder, and coming off a recent loss to Combatex due to a 4gate blink stalker build abusing the taldarim cliff/pit between the main/third area, I decided to put up the 2 bunkers at the pit/cliff near my third to be on the safe side - without these bunkers I think 1 rax fe / 15cc encounters a build order loss to such a blink stalker build. Turns out Deezer did nearly the exact same build as combatex did to me. In regards to Agh's further accusations, I believe I can answer them. My plan this game was to go for an FE with a quick double gas at 24/25 to do a raven mmm push. That is the beauty of the gasless FE into 2x rax at 22 and 2x gas at 24 build - you essentially have enough gas to get whichever tech option you chose. When I saw his early pressure however, I abandoned this build and focused solely on holding it. Having played Deezer, I know he favors a particular DT expand build. However, I predicted that since the map was Taldarim, he would not use this build because: 1. DT expands have rarely been used against me on Taldarim, if ever. 2. The map architecture of Taldarim does not favor DT expands, namely that a single missle turret placed at the choke of the natural protects both bases 3. The blink stalker build on Taldarim is almost an autowin if a 15cc/1 rax FE is scouted. Thus, I gambled that deezer would not go for DT play. The additional two bunkers at my natural are timed (I think) against any 3/4gate pressure - I also know Deezer loves to play cheesy, so I figured it would be wise to put up bunkers, and simply salvage them later if no pressure occurred. My failure to not save up scans is inexcusable however - had deezer hit a razer thin timing with DTs I simply would have lost - however I accept these kinds of risks when I play ; this facet of my play probably contributing to why I am not a Grandmaster. My previous games vs. Deezer reflect this fact in full. I have lost the past 2 games vs Deezer to misreads on his build - one game if I recall right I got 6 gated, and another game I tank marine allined into a pack of zealots and immortals. As I stated in response to Aghs previous accusations, I do not play the same way the pros do. My mechanics are honestly bad, but I cover them up with an incredible amount of sc2 research, and effort to play smartly. If there are any more questions etc. I would be happy to respond to them. However, his explanations make sense, and waiting for the ghosts is completely logical given that it is a terran bio army against sentries. I don't think anyone with sight of the enemy's army would have two medivacs of perfectly good units fly away just as such a large force comes calling at the front. Unless it was some sort of extremely skillful meta-game hacking in which he did something to throw off suspicion because he knew he was going to lose somehow, I think these things were simply coincidences. Finally, there's no point at which he seems to either scout through the FOW or go idle for long periods of time. He's always active, which would allow little time for him to lock the replay camera and look at the enemy base. It's true that many things can be gleaned from just being able to see the entire minimap at all times, but I don't think there's anything that can conclusively be proved from these replays. TL;DR: Don't think he's hacking, although some things were a little coincidental. Metagaming is completely reasonable, and RiceRiceRice is able to give explanations for every suspicion that we seem to have had. | ||

I don't think anything of it. Queue again thinking whoa that was weird. I get the same guy. I go lol let's try this again! gl hf etc etc. He goes do you like my drop hacks. I push up his side with tanks and vikings and SC2 crashes again. SC2 has NEVER ever crashed for me before, let alone against the same person twice in a row, gloating about hacks. Since the game crashed I don't have the replays but luckily I was streaming so its all recorded. | ||
