So true. I've won about 6 games as VS in a row. Just gank a few times and even if you don't get the kill you still make the other team too wary to contest lanes properly.
That and buy wards. Your carry will walk away with all the glory but you will know that you pretty much won the game with nothing but treads, wand and a bracer. And like 8 sets of wards.

when i play support, it make me sad to see carry miss last hit when they have a quelling blade and the enemy is so harrased that they can't get in range to deny. And even with wards, ive seen people die to ganks that walk right pass the wards. sometimes even after pings went off. then again i don't think my mm is that high.
also, thank god for this qq thread. i would have gone crazy from it all by now.

went 10/2 on zeus killing everyone getting runes while our sniper free farmed top, game was in the bag. at 30 minutes sniper has a shadow blade. we get outcarried. was fun.

Only problem with this is like the example in the post above mine, your team destroys the other team because of you playing support so your carry or carries buy troll items or are just bad so your losses are even more infuriating since you were winning and then lost. Playing support definitely works well for winning though, and is fun for the first half of the game at least.
What I find hilarious are the people who pick support in pubs and don't buy wards or support items, nor do they roam/gank. They then proceed to talk about how much they hate playing support in pubs etc...Of course the game will suck if you pick a hero that dominates early but you just sit around waiting for people to get stronger than you, or you can't gank anyone because you don't know where they are since you wont buy wards, or you lose teamfights because instead of mek/pipe/force staff you bought agh's scepter.

In lower MM, there's not much you can do though. Buying wards is a waste of gold because the players do not have the map awareness to benefit from it (except possibly rune control). Going to gank works, but usually bad players don't realize how strong the support is early on and won't engage. Obviously, you should still attempt it though.

Out of 6 single queue ap-sd-rd games (I'm relatively new to matchmaking) only 2 games din't have a leaver on my team. 
and I played horrible on one of the losses. Only won one so far. Ugh.

I tell my team, that I intend to play Kunkka, and ask if that is okay. No response.
Instead they all choose to pick their heroes at the LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT.
Their picks were:
Pudge (Mid hero, yes)
Zeus (Another mid hero ..??)
Bloodseeker (ANOTHER MID HERO??!)
Natures Prophet (Who went mid along with Zeus)
So there I was, fighting the best I could solo on the short lane, while my team were feeding to the left and right. It really didn't seem like they were even trying to win. I've got quite a lot of experience lasthitting from HoN, so when we lost and the score screen came up, I had around 190 ck after 32 min (Not good, but it should suffice for pubs), and the one who had the most on my team besides me (Prophet) had a whooping 42.

just played an intense game, at around 50 minute marker we were pushing into their base, we were ahead and would probably have won. guess what happened? yes, of course someone leaved! because of this they could hold our push and then they counter pushed and won the game. my last like 10 losses have been like this... always because someone leaves.

This QQ is kinda a mixed thing cuz we won. How do you know what your like rating is? I get TERRIBLE players on both teams and its really retarded having to carry so hard every single game. I have won 6 out of my last five going 16-3, 29-5, 23-2, 21-5 etc. How do I know when I am going up lol I don't play DOTA super amounts I play way more SC2 but its annoying playing with terrible players. The last game I played I played riki and started out lame 1-5 against a Axe/Silencer lane double harrass with there dmg over time abilities Axes early takes half riki's life early anyway as soon as I hit lvl 6 and perma invisiblity I never died again and went on a 28 kill streak ended the game 29-5-11. People are TERRIBLE holy crap they got fed and I just steam rolled them. The one game I lost I went 5-1 early with Invoker the whole team fed so hard I ended the game 9-11-20 and got called bad by both teams when both our carries had under 5 kills and at least 12 deaths....

Bloodseeker starts out with 2 slippers, a QB and zero regen items. Lycan dies to neutral creeps 1 minute into the game blaming "stupid ursas", jungles slower than a dual lane, gets a 15 minutes vlad and then follows with a hand of midas. And can someone tell me wtf am I supposed to do against a batrider mid? This guy just stacks 129731017923 napalm charges which are impossible to dodge because of the massive AOE, and then when he stacks them up he gets so much dps he can just tower dive and kill me, even with cold snap under him.

if he's got more than 3~5 he can dive u depending on what hero u r
if ur invoker u can probably just snap and autoattack him to death if u have the tower tho

^Yeah, when you see him trying to stack, just back away and give it a bit of time to wear off. They do not last as long as like other debuffs so the person should still be able to leech exp, just not last hit.

i never play support in pub unless i'm queuing with at least a friend ... i don't trust pubs to do the carry so i always pick heroes that can solo and snowball through out the game (QoP, morphling, tiny .etc) ... i learned that the hard way back in HoN when i was so naive that i went support in most of my games, getting courier, wards, and whatnots ... only to witness our carry failed hardcore and even got blamed on for "doing nothing" when i had a bad K/D score ...
