I'm Bloodseeker. Reasonably farmed, ahead of anyone else on our team I think. I'm in a good position to take out anyone on their team solo or to DPS down a lot in teamfights (except Weaver, because of his invis escapes and nobody on my team getting wards). We go rosh. Kill rosh. I go to pick up Aegis and... ...it gets jacked by the Morphling on our team who is massively underfarmed and was 4-11 K/D. He immediately leads the charge south east out of the rosh pit STRAIGHT INTO THE ENEMY TEAM and instantly dies along with the other three on my team. Try to do something to help of course but that just leads to me overcommitting and unable to retreat and dying myself. Then we basically instantly lose because whole team is gone and they're strong enough to kill towers and buildings during the huge respawn time. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? I asked him wtf he thought he was doing. All he had to say was that it was his first game in ages. Surely that'd be EVEN MORE REASON not to jack the Aegis ahead of a Bloodseeker with more levels and better gear? *repeatedly slams head on desk* | ||

1. Is it just me, or does it seem like most people who play invoker have gigantic egos, think they're fucking Rambo and go off alone trying to be a goddamn progamer. Then when they die they say something like "no fucking teamwork gg." 2. I hate laning with carries in pubs (i.e. laning in pubs) because I like pusher types (shadow shaman, death prophet), who tend to fall into support roles in pro games. As a result, every time I try to last hit, I get something like "dude, could you stop stealing my farm?" But not in a nice way, in an entitled asshole way. Whenever we kill a hero, I better hope to god I'm not the one who kills it or I'll never hear the end of the bitching over my "killsteal." And I understand that carries generally should have more farm than someone who can press r and be useful regardless of items. Yeah I get it. BUT IT'S ONLY "STEALING YOUR FARM" IF YOU'RE CAPABLE OF LAST HITTING, YOU FUCKING NOOB. 3. What's with people who don't check the runes at 0:00? There are 4 other people on the team besides me, I'm sure at least 1 other person can check the other rune spawn. Do they not realize that invis/dd/haste could be an easy first blood? Do they not care? Do they not realize that illusion allows you to get every last hit and deny for the first couple creep waves? Guys, runes are good ffs! Get them! 4. There is no excuse for pausing with no explanation. If you gotta pause, give a reason. And it better be good, because you're wasting the time of 9 other people. That said, if there's a legitimate reason for the pause, don't be a dick, just wait patiently. Personally I keep tabs on hero locations/item builds, and try to use the pause as a way to assess what should happen next to give us the best chance of winning. 5. People who are super pessimistic because things aren't going great for them and the enemy team composition looks better are super fucking annoying to play with. It's one thing if we're dominated 20 - 1 after 15 minutes or something crazy like that, but just because they have TA and we don't have a hardcarry doesn't mean the game is over. One thing I've learned in pubs is that at the lower level, team composition pretty much doesn't matter at all. It's way more about the basics of being able to last hit/deny and being aware of map positioning. 6. A more serious QQ is people who mock others for using a mic in game. I'll hear someone communicate through mic or I'll talk myself and some asshole will be like "omg you sound like a ???" I dunno what the fuck they'll insult with, but you get what I mean. They are the worst type of people. First, what the fuck business is it of yours? Second, you must be really fucking ignorant to not realize that you are reinforcing the disorganization and lack of communication that makes pub games so frustrating in the first place. Honestly, not using a mic in a game as dependent on team communication as DotA is a joke. These people get an immediate mute and report from me. Sadly, I don't think that does shit. I guess in general, I don't get pissed off by having bad teammates, because I understand if some people don't get the finer points of things like positioning, or being greedy and farming as quickly as possible instead of standing behind a tower that you can't defend anyway. And not everybody is good at last hitting. Everybody's a noob at some point, and I kind of still am honestly. Just don't be such a cunt when you play. | ||
