I'm ambivalent about it.. I like it because I random in AP games anyway and it kinda levels out the playing field... At the same time I hate it because (insert your most hated nationality here) players will play AR, get heroes they don't know how to play (every hero), feed, rage, and abandon.

QQ thread? beeing in a game where you can 1v2 most guys and were involved in 80% of the teamkills and you still lose cause evryone else has 2 digit deaths. 30 deaths across a puck and rhasta alone. after 30 minutes. and all that after a streak of 4 such games playing with buddy.
dota sometimes is just cruel. well atleast random mm is.

hopefully dota becomes bigger and more small scene teams form.
the current "matchmaking" is pure retarded. its like a cointoss to see which side gets more retards. had like 4 decent non stompfest games in 120games. i really hope they do a proper rating system even the crappy one in hon works much much better.

i just feel so upset when people don't communicate. if you speak russian and 0 english don't play on NA servers. if you speak Portuguese but no english, don't spam in portuguese and ping everywhere when all 4 teammates respond in english. If you speak english, use it. use words and actually try to win games in other ways than trying to have the best "score".

I am currently playing with a guy who went Basi->Midas->Rapier on Furion. He died. Someone picked up his rapier. He's fucking butthurt, and is now just farming and feeding rapiers. One guy thinks it's fucking hilarious. If I had a gun, I would literally murder these two. Seriously. He's now farmed three rapiers and teleported into their fountain.
Fifty five minute game because three of us were playing our nuts off. And because the report feature gets abused to fuck and back, nothing's going to fucking happen. At least on fucking DotaCash he'd get banned within a day.

If you'd like more, I'd love to oblige you. It may or may not have been easy to change the swap functionality - I suspect it was easier than you think given the example of -switch - but it was in the game. It makes much more sense for it to be enabled in -SD than it does in, for instance, -AP, where you actually have the choice of any hero. Using your logic, swap shouldn't exist in the first place. In AR, you're meant to get a random hero, not one you swap for; and so on. But it does and there's no compelling argument for it not working in SD other than that it doesnt' right now. And that's silly and wrong. Swap is the only way SD is fun.

and like i said sd is emant to give the choice between 3 heroes of each main attribute....not 5....by valve/icefrog not activating swap in sd, they just proved some brain and finally got the mode now they wanted....its the way its meant to be....

switch is already turned off when the game actually starts, just add another variable or another condition to the -switch function
maybe the idea is that the team gets a choice?
