I don't like drafting, and I'd like to not do it if I can help it, but it's something that I actually know how to do and how it works, so if no one else on the team feels like they can draft, I'll do it.
How are the people "supposed" to draft? In my opinion if the captain has a strategy and tolds his teammates, its a legit draft. I dont think that having morph naga ds rubick each game is FUN. sure, it's most of the "meta" and the normal pick bans and so, but as this seems to be a casual mid level environment, the captain should pick to have fun and THEN try to win. You get no wins no loss for this. And if you win with zeus plus bloodseeker i know you're happy and had a fun game.

My favorite game played so far was the one where I was drafting but dfs basically made the calls, he picked a really fun pushing quad lane top with rubick mid against MoR's "traditional" draft. (Fucking ck lesh mid is like the lamest shit ever.)
We lost the game in the end but the game was a lot of fun and it can be nice to play cm games where people dont just imitate the drafting at TI2.

imo just ban am/morph then you can do weird shit.

I don't think you should play in TL inhouses if you're expecting to get top notch drafts and players. I think it's safe to say that there are 2-3 new players per team in most games. Every time I've played I've known that there was teaching to be done. If you want to play serious, high level games (assuming you're even high level) then get a 5man stack for matchmaking, or face another 5man premade in customs.
Thus far there have only been a handful of great players. Not saying that's a bad thing, or unexpected, but I think some people to need open their eyes and see that these inhouse games are more about having fun while getting along with other people. If the only thing that makes gaming fun for you is winning, then take my earlier advice.
Or learn to carry.

Well, at least have a basic idea with what you want to do with your draft and have a general theme instead of just picking random stuff. I think I've played 2 or 3 games today where the captain just picked stuff. Like, pick a hard carry that you can rely on, like AM, morph, void, syllabear, or something like that and have a team built around protecting that carry. Pick a push team. Pick a teamfight team like you mentioned, with stuff like dark seer, tide, enigma, etc.
But when you get a team that doesn't really have any reason behind it and the captain decided to just pick stuff (and it can be composed of good heroes, but there's real no strategy or thoughts behind the picks), the games are just going to turn out horrible.
I don't care if you go for something like a necrolyte or a silencer as long as you have a plan going into the game.

Yeah MoR rages sometimes, hes been doing it for a long time, this isnt really news. Most of the time hes pretty cool though. also he's a pretty good drafter imo.
It would definitely be nice if he worked at refraining from getting too worked up during games though.
also tobberoth you gotta work on your lycan man :p

we should get some rd inhouses going. cm takes so long to get started and its mostly same heroes over and over.

I think in these inhouses you shouldn't try to get insane combos for your team. Just work with strong right click heroes, or simple gankers (like SK).

some captains pick wr as starter and let the other team have rubik naga and darkseer before going on picking enigma. then stomp happens and i get to lose to a team with a ursa lol.

you guys have been fighting for like a week. Let it go.

Games were fun earlier today. Felt in the void game it should have been easier than it was. Not sure what I could have done better. The tp top early game was a waste of a minute of farm, because fuck level 6 void mana pool. Apart from that I think it was just slightly wonky positioning on our team's part.
Quite happy with some of my chronos though, and epic support by the SD/lesh <3

To be fair, I've played exactly one game with you and my impression on a personal level was immediately very negative (you seem like a good player but that's not the point).
Believe me, I've raged a lot in the past, and I can tell you with confidence that trying to stop the rage will make you feel a lot better, too.

Well seriously, I used to play QW invoker as well but I found that I was pulling off much more crazy shit as QE Invoker, not to mention I found it just so much more fun. So I became pretty much exclusively QE. Out of the 237 games of Invoker that I've played, perhaps only 5 or so are QW.
