Thanks, but I'm only good at the writing and organizing (and I have time to do this), usually all the smart ideas are from people like Firebolt, Yango and cecek, etc. I'm not as knowledgeable or good at the game unfortunately (though I have been playing for so many years since All-Stars).

But thank you, I really like this project.

I like guides as a reference and to give direction as well. For a lot of heroes, they are very situational, so unfortunately you have to sacrifice accuracy and/or preferences just to keep things relatively simple. In my view, core is bought in order and Extension Items is similar to Situational Items in that you can buy any of the items in no particular order.

I think Phoenix should max Sun Ray second, over Icarus Dive.

Both skills only scale damage on ranks 2-4, and Sun Ray's % max HP pure damage scales his DPS harder against anyone who has more than ~900 HP, which most people will have by the time he's maxing his 2nd skill. This isn't even including the fact that Sun Ray also heals allies in the beam.

the reason i use guides is iam too lazy to type the item i want in the searchbar. If there is too much stuff missing there is no point for me using the guide. Personally i also dislike that a lot of the guides don't go past the 30 minute mark, most guides don't have a 6-slot loadout for longer games.
On supports i feel like that a lot of standard stuff like smokes and stuff is missing and you have to search for it in the whole shop. Personally i like if there would be more emphasis on getting support stuff on supports, for example putting wards in early game, core and lategame.

/E it is also easier to decide what to buy if you can visually see a couple of options.

This is fine too, but I personally think that when it's on the level of "I just can't be bothered to find the item in the shop", it takes 10 seconds to edit the guide and include the item for yourself, so that should be up to the user.

As for it being easier when items are visible, that's true, I like when guides include the most prioritized options. I don't feel every viable situational item has to be there though.

): Suggestions for Terrorblade and Phoenix items/skill builds?

I will add support items probably next round. Make it a separate tab of misc. support items.

Phoenix should be off-lane usually, not mid. As I mentioned in another thread, mid Phoenix wins lanes but has mediocre ganking ability, very little item dependence, and is predominantly, if not exclusively, a teamfight hero. This fits the mold of other item-independent teamfight heroes going off-lane.

Boots should usually be brown boots or Arcanes if your team needs it (you usually don't need them yourself). Tranquils are also OK. There's really no reason to get Treads.

Wand should move up to core, situational should include Vlad's and Necrobook. Eth Blade shouldn't even be in Extension, Halberd and Sheep should be in either category (doesn't matter which). Refresher should be extension (if you get around to buy a selfish item because all team items are covered, this is usually the one to get).

I find it weird that we don't have Phoenix in middle considering he has incredible long-range abilities to dominate his lane and given his ability to initiate, he'd make a fine mid with extra levels, no? Is it valid enough for a separate guide because I'd be ok with that too.

Treads is for the extra HP given your abilities and more tankiness.

Vlad's seems strange, is it just for the aura for allies?

He can play mid, it's just that if you can off-lane with him there's no real reason to go mid. His overall effectiveness doesn't really change much by being mid, and his suppressive ability is much more pronounced against a safe lane carry.

Treads isn't really a cost-effective HP source if you don't make use of the autoattack component.

Vlad's is there because pretty much every team utility item could be there situationally for him.

I'll create two guides, denoting off-lane is preferred.

For mid, is the build any different? Doesn't seem like it considering one level in Icarus is ok to initiate.

I'll update in the next post. Terrorblade too

I never really played Phoenix, but just looking at his skills, he seems like a good mid hero. Bottle should do a lot of work for you, considering you use health and mana to cast spells, should allow you to outharass the enemy mid and win lane. I think because of the bottle you could go treads, otherwise stay on brown boots. Like Yango said, you don't really need the extra hp, his strength gain is really good. Mek seems like the perfect choice on Phoenix. You should have enough mana to always cast it, and you really want to get some armor. He has -0.32 at level one. I suppose you could get a basilius or medallion, but it doesn't seem like Phoenix really needs the mana regen from both of these items.

That's all just a guess, I could be wrong.

Phoenix wins lanes hard, as I said. That's not his problem. The problem is that he doesn't create any pressure out of winning mid that hard. He doesn't push his advantage in mid into the other lanes like most strong gankers do, nor does he become problematic with freefarm the way other lane dominators like OD and LD do. Phoenix with freefarm does the same thing Phoenix without freefarm does.

His suppressive laning ability applies to off-lane as well (arguably more so because safe lane carries usually aren't equipped to Bottle-Crow and use spells to farm to make up for having no attack speed).

Not final, still figuring them out -

Phoenix: Yango saved my ass. Created a midlane guide despite it being typically weaker.

Terrorblade: A lot harder to figure out, I prefer reflection over Metamorphosis at the beginning. His items are the hardest part. Thanks Yango for the skill build tip.
Can we skip ult until level 9-10??

Item builds, sounds like Manta and S&Y are popular.
