Puppey skills it at 6 because he uses it in early teamfights. That's a pretty big call that one has to make when playing CM, and it's not very hard to make either.

I still wouldn't skill it later than 9. After you have max Nova, rank 2 Frostbite, and 1-2 aura, it's hard to justify rank 3 Frostbite (which gains no damage over rank 2) or an additional aura rank over the ult.

Interestingly, delaying levels 2 and 3 of ult can make sense considering the mana-pool constraints an underfarmed CM will find herself with.

Situational enough to not really feature in these guides, but CM can barely cast all her spells at 11 from a full mana pool if she gets level 2 ultimate.

With the new patch and all the hard push line ups we are seeing, big team fight seem to always come pre level 11. I think it's a good call the majority of the time. I have even used it to screen a team mate from a failed gank.

Edit: as for mana, that's a valid concerns. It doesn't come up a lot in my games, but I could see it as a problem.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure we can all agree that going 4-4-2, and then for whatever reason going BACK to get the last 2 aura ranks at a time when teams will have 1-2 Arcane Boots to fill in gaps in mana over getting a teamfight ult at level 11/12 was just silly.

It depends whether she got her Staff of Wizardry for her first 2k+ gold item yet when she hits 11. Generally she will, but sometimes, you're forced to make a diversion for other items that delay you getting a +Int item that grows your mana pool enough for that.

you have to tank a lot with the hero so going ring of protection, stout and tango seems to be the way to go. 7-8 minute vlads should be no problem if you don't get harassed in jungle.

Format Changes to Guides

Removed [TORTE] to all guides.
Moved (Lane/Jungle/Middle) to the center of the guide title for better viewing
Added @TorteDeLini for feedback (since most don't like going to Steam Community -> Guide -> Hero guide)

(I'm having a problem with Contributors. It doesn't linebreak whatsoever so if I add more than one name, it cuts off the other name)
Removed Contributors tab until contributions are made specifically for those guides.
Changed existing "Contributors" tab to "Thanks" due to character limit

necro guide lacks heart as endgame item
necro guide lacks dagon / e-blade as situational, if you need more damage.
necro guide lacks bkb/pipe as situational
i would never buy a rod of atos on necro, your ult is a really powerful disable and i would rather get a dagon to kill the enemy faster if i need extra disable i get a sheep stick.

just some opinions, i only use guides because clicking the little icons on the guide thing is just more convienient.

The Necro guide is pretty lacking in general. Phase Boots Necro is a relic from when Phase Boots were OP and gave armor years ago. Treads are much more the norm now.

It's quite outdated from pre-6.79 I believe, which is strange because I just recently played him.

Some of the guides need revising unfortunately, sometimes its difficult to pick them out.

more often than not you are the highest priority target for the enemy team, if you surive you win the teamfight. Heart is a great item to make sure you surive the initial burst.
