The need for dual-cores is to highlight priority and playstyle. If one is Meka and the other is straight Aghs then they are distinguished enough (in playstyle and item build) to be separate builds without having to make another guide and add even more redundancy (and clicks for the user who have to switch guides for what is essentially one 3-item core build).
Situational Items are simpler alone, but you also have to include Extension items in terms of choices. So that makes the user either decide to get a Situational item or to start on Extension items. If you remove one build from a dual-build then those items have to be delegated to either situational or extension.
I'm reducing the number of extension/situational items by creating a separate build, thereby removing a good chunk from both pools and creating an isolated and equally valid way of playing.
The only issue is lack of space and thus far, no build is facing that situation yet (though we have gotten close with):
Abaddon: 3 Situational Items, 6 Extension Items canstill fit 3 items + 1 tab Bounty Hunter: 12 extension Items can still fit 2 more items
and Lone Druid understandably.
Seems good to me.
In the past, we had a lot of dual builds: Tiny, Bane, Phantom Assassin, Alchemist, Doom, Naga Siren, Skywrath Mage and I've mostly wiped them out minus the three (off-hand guess) above.

Assault Cuirass on BH is silly, then again the whole carry BH thing is silly so w/e, worst cancer in my pubs is rejoicing over a BH pick then seeing him with 800 HP and a desolator at 20 minutes.
Ember Spirit Lane absolutely should not have PMS as a starting item. Buy it at the sideshop. Start with stout shield/8 tangos and buy quelling at sideshop, or stout/tango/mango/salve/branches, or stout/RoP/tangos. You can't go out to lane as an ember with only 1 set of regen, and there's not enough value in the immediate PMS. Mid is completely different in this regard.
Bloodthorne on medusa is silly. Buy a MKB if you're against evasion. If you're against someone you can't lock down then get your team to do it; if they don't they it's outside of the guide's scope for a 1 in 1000 game item.
PMS on terrorblade is still core IMO. I would argue radiance is situational. Is MKB usually an extension item in guides generally? You want it only vs evasion so it's situational always IMO but I don't know for sure your policy on this. Octarine's pretty good too, even without radiance, although with radiance it's pretty fun.

By Level 19 he has 1.2k health and 15 armour With Sange and Yasha, he has 1580 with 17 armour With BKB + S&Y he has 1780 with 17 armour
I will add PMS on Terrorblade I will not add Radiance as it can be a dangerous item to expect players to get (and it is seldom bought right now anyways) I will remove MKB I'll take a look at Octarine, don't think it works here (I've never seen it bought)
I'll take a look. I believe bloodthorn is actually not bad just late-game expensive.
I will fix that for Middle but Lane is usually ok with going straight PMS no?

PMS on terrorblade is still core IMO. I would argue radiance is situational. Is MKB usually an extension item in guides generally? You want it only vs evasion so it's situational always IMO but I don't know for sure your policy on this. Octarine's pretty good too, even without radiance, although with radiance it's pretty fun. By Level 19 he has 1.2k health and 15 armour With Sange and Yasha, he has 1580 with 17 armour With BKB + S&Y he has 1780 with 17 armour I will add PMS on Terrorblade I will not add Radiance as it can be a dangerous item to expect players to get (and it is seldom bought right now anyways) I will remove MKB I'll take a look at Octarine, don't think it works here (I've never seen it bought)  I'll take a look. I believe bloodthorn is actually not bad just late-game expensive. I will fix that for Middle but Lane is usually ok with going straight PMS no? Who cares what BH has at lvl 19, he is not a carry hero in anything but as a gimmick. His standard build should be roaming or offlane, with mana boots, mek, greaves, with items like blink and force staff, played as 4 usually.
You got the Ember fixes round the wrong way. Mid wants PMS immediately (starting items). Lane does NOT want PMS immediately (starting items), he wants it early game (early game items).
Of all the carry heroes to get a bloodthorne on medusa makes almost the least sense IMO.

You can go damage as an offlaning Bounty Hunter, no?
For BH, I want a damaging build in there. This is the most common build for him from previous iterations (Phase into Deso into X). Your 800HP reference is not an accurate depiction, that is what my remark is making mention/comparison of.
When I revise the entire system and can expand to new classifications, I can alter Bounty Hunter. But I still feel strongly about the damage build.

welcome to the frustrations of dealing with torte. just because ur a "core" bounty hunter in "lane" doesnt mean u build differently to roaming lol. theres little reason why a "laning" bounty needs phase desolator. thats like saying a laning enigma should build phase desolator instead of arcanes mek. idk why he is so fixated with making right click bounty a thing. just a fundamental misunderstanding of how bounty is played these days.
u can go damage on offlane bounty in the same way as u can go damage on offlane tide or centaur or w/e (ie. u dont)
blink should definitely be extension on bounty and vlads/solar crest moved to situational

I can't find a game in recent leagues that uses any damage items on BH (not that I think any of them even run him offlane, he's not even very good as a solo offlaner at least). Items are like, mek/greaves/arcanes, vlads, solar crest, force staff, lotus orb, linkens, orchid, urn, blink, drums. He's a utility hero who is very squishy, slow attack, low attack damage, can't farm. He excels at making his team get more gold and vision, and all the items he buys just helps them win team fights (because that's what he needs to win, team fights).

he is strong roaming cuz he can set up kills with just oov, maybe jinada. he also forces supports to be poor because they have to buy detection for their mid hero, then detection for their safe lane, and also detection to deward the pull. bounty is pretty easy to zone too with detection, unless he decides to just sit in trees and get xp. either way, laning him is a waste because it removes his global threat and means supports aren't pressured to keep up sentry coverage

The historical argument works for entire builds, not for itemisation choices. Rightclick bounty is not a standard build. It's a pubtrash build.
If you want it, I can't stop you, and there's nothing else I can say to convince you if you're this fixated on it, but the overwhelming consensus of the last 3 years is that the hero does not rightclick anymore.

I will test him again in a regular pub. match environment. It still works for me just fine just like Lifestealer (Jungle) still gives me strong leads even when I play passively.
I don't see anything inherently wrong with playing Bounty Hunter as a one-hit ganker just as he was played before. Especially true when you're solo-queuing and it is hard to get your team to work together to take advantage of Mekansm/Guardian Greaves.
Since 2010 (patch 6.70), he's had literally 0 damage removed from his abilities nor stat changes, just mana and status debuff effects upped or down (which has been accommodated for via Bottle since forever). So why is this version of Bounty Hunter inherently bad if what it predicates on is still the same as before?
In a lot of games, a roaming Bounty Hunter not only sometimes fails, but the Meka -> Guardian Greaves itemization is rendered useless if the team doesn't have enough damage; which happens a lot at all levels (1k to 4k). An alternative version that does not hinder the item build it runs alongside is not the biggest of crimes. A stable "offlane" version that gets the early necessary levels and still plays similarly as a Level 2 roaming Bounty Hunter is a safety measure that still contributes.
Bounty Hunter being a one-hit damage-dealer is purely for the public environment (the intended audience) similar to Abaddon's dual-builds, Necrophos dual-build, Kunkka Carry guide and Drow Ranger (Shadowblade).

Kunkka carry is somewhat legit, necro support is somewhat legit, abba carry is somewhat legit. BH carry is like, on the level of rubick mid. Sure you can pull it off but it's so far off how the hero should optimally be played that it's not rly very good to be teaching people to play it like that.

I feel you're saying things that aren't clear or detailed at all.

I want to understand why the build doesn't work and this doesn't help me understand it (and I can't find any community conversations to help inform me on the decision to not build him as a damage-dealer) but simply remind me that the build is no longer traditionally played like this, not on the why it cannot be played with both builds. I underlined how I have come to understand the build works under 3 arguments:
1. From personal experience, the build still consistently works (but I have said I will try and play with it again more recently) 2. Since 2010 (patch 6.70), his damage or stats have not changed to justify not keeping both playstyles in one guide 3. Situations where Meka/Guardian Greaves is not being taken advantage of (poor initiatives as lower-levels/poor balance of hero line-up [too many supports/not enough damage]), there is a safety measure of a stable offlane version that still plays under the same form as a roaming bounty hunter (hunt for kills to snowball with Track bounty, gank frail heroes)
I am not putting one build before another, they are both equally available, in the same guide so all 1.6 million subscribers can weigh the value of both (in view of their line-up)
Simply put, this is how I have come to understand that the build is still viable/accepted (though, understandably not the current popular trend of playing Bounty Hunter).
Please explain to me the changes made in the game that make this build not only inefficient, but the wrong way to play the hero. Once I understand the opposing point-of-view, I can make a more informed decision in the future.
I want to understand and know more for future changes not only to Bounty Hunter but all heroes and future guide iterations.

"somewhat legit" basically means that it CAN work, but it is not utilising the strengths of that hero, and/or another hero can perform that role way better and u have been forced into the "somewhat legit" role due to draft. like if necro was picked when there are already 3 cores on the team.
also the problem with combining the roaming and the offlane farming guide into one, is that ur skill build can't apply to both. if ur gonna sit in lane all day, u dont leave jinada and windwalk at lvl 1 because the cooldown reduction of jinada is way more helpful for last hitting and harassing in lane than shuriken.

so why does farming offlane bounty suck dick? cuz he's easily zoned, has no backup farming method (unless u wanna gimp urself further by buying iron talon tranqs) and is just so much better being a roaming global threat to couriers and heroes. so what if u have a nice lane and manage to get phase desolator? wow u die in a round of spells anyway because ur a bounty hunter. it's true his damage wasnt nerfed. actually it was buffed, with the shuriken track change. so that should incentivise you to throw more tracks and shurikens out, instead of being in the middle of fights right clicking.

Right click bounty may not have been nerfed, but supp bounty is buffed.
Even if your team stinks Greeves means you can purge dust and give yourself hp to escape getting caught out. This lets you be way more aggressive because the things that reliably catch you out are very diminished.
Shuriken, now that it bounces is going to deal way way more damage in a teamfight than right clicks even with right click items. Having the sustained mana to keep tossing them is way more important than right clicks. Especially if you don't max jinada early.
If your team deals no damage then items like Solar Crest or even Dagon (or veil even) will fix that a lot better than right click items because you can use them safely and live longer to keep throwing out tracks and shurikens. Plus the easiest way to solve a team's damage problem is getting them a bunch of track gold.

blink or force are much better items than aether lens on bounty (in extension-roam)
and can't we just be reasonable and delete everything that isn't the roam stuff i mean u put DAEDALUS up there when bounty already has a guaranteed crit ffs. that build is not seen, not viable, and not OK.
