just watched over shadow shaman:
at the beginning i'd go for: Cour, Wards, 3x branchen, tango, clarity.
after this i feal that shadow shaman is a great drum carryer, as it helps him to close up to the enemy very early on to get off his hex/shackle. in addition with a magic wand, you should be finde to go for the blinkdagger directly.
you can go forcestaff as a next item, but i feel blinkdagger is a far better item for SS, as it gives your team to punish every enemy that is only slightly out of position. even though id go for aghanims after blinkdagger, as the upgraded ultimate gives you a great tool to break enemy bases.

May I give comments for Faceless Void's build? Your build doesn't work as often in Very High pubs where carries should constantly sit in their lane and has a reliability percentage of success lower than 60%. Whereas, that build works beautifully when everything goes right. Sometimes it doesn't. And most of the time, it doesn't.

Unfortunately the guides are a reference and suggestion for lower-skilled players. At Very High public games, it's generally expected that you understand and know how to build your hero based on the situation, success of your farm (or whatever role you need to achieve/succeed at) and the key items needed to counter your foes' strongest heroes (or those your meant to contend with).
For Faceless Void: his items are pretty clear-cut in that you need Black King Bar and usually Battlefury if you can manage it or Mask of Madness; I put both as core: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=128922664
Butterfly may be something I'll need to remove or move Battlefury to Situational. I've seen people go Midas too, but I'm not sure of its validity.

I added Midas, PMS and reversed Butterfly for MKB. However, I agree that it needs a bit of updating.

No updates recently, swamped with work ): but quick errors can be fixed tonight :D

This guides have saved many a friend from terrible builds, like ones with really early bloodstone puck or terrible battle fury of bloodseeker. Without these builds, would I teach people about the harsh world of Dota 2?

Usually, I bump with an active change of items of something. I did something small yesterday, but that's it.

Updated Batrider's flamebreak description, fixed the 500000000000th typo of Skywrath Mage.

Aye, this is the de facto set of guides I link any friends I have completely new to Dota because I know I've at least looked through them and approve of them.

Well, that was my goal :B I'm just the handyman in the end (with some basic writing capability)

These are the builds I turn when I random something I don't know and the way I avoid my friends building Bloodstone for every Int Hero in the game. Seriously, screw the guys who keep upvoting those guides. The only exception is Puck, where I use "Finch says Puck is a Pretty Lady".
|
I don't much bloodstone play in pub games unless its really late in the game. Sometimes enemies go late-game enigma bloodstone o_O
|
There are some amazingly high rated guides out there with Bloodstone all over the place. I saw one for Lina that had Bloodstone as core and Force staff as "situational" and they are so highly rated. It makes me so grumpy.

Bloodstone is pretty much only cost efficient on timbersaw

Yeah. Storm before too, but now I just find Orchid to be so much better usually.
