then i went into low prio. I have had some of the most hilarious smack talk ever from some hilarious people who actually want to have fun. So to all you low priority people who actually want to play a decent game and have no time for people feeding, arguing over mid, not buying courier ... last picking the 5th carry for the team. I salute you. And if those 2 guys from sweden and belarus want to sing any more shanties go for it lol. | ||

And I guess I'll mention here the Spectre who listened to me when I said he should get Diffusal rather than the Radiance he had been trying to build (after Vanguard, Drums, Manta) to deal with the other team's mass of spells. Nice guy who freely admitted he didn't really know what he was doing with Spectre and took advice well. | ||

I got clink (a terrible base model), but managed to get germinate as well as mirror image. For my ulti I chose black hole just to block off the skill. For those of you that don't play much ability draft - the general "meta" is that people usually pick passives and are completely useless in the first half and hour, and hope they can farm enough to become a super carry. So same thing, team had a bunch of members with passives, and I knew we were going to have a tough time. I sounded this out early on and said that we have to be active warding and such, and surprisingly everyone listened! We played a good defensive game and kept together as a team even though we lost mid rax. But after some turtling, some excellent RPs by another team member that allowed me to black hole, we turned the whole thing round and won in the end =). sometimes thingsn just click as a team, and this was one such match. Eveyrone was polite and encouraging everyone on too. | ||

We'd have lost if it weren't for good guy Omniknight. This guy was doing everything correctly and putting up with everyone's bullshit and not complaining. I was Tinker. He stacked the ancients for me and would come around and give me mana when I needed it without me asking for it. He was one of the few people who had a microphone and me, him, and my buddy were able to communicate well enough to still win despite the other two guys being awful and shitty team players. For all the awful dota players you meet in pubs... just think - somewhere out there is good guy Omniknight... buying the courrier, warding, stacking ancients: doing all the crap nobody else wants to do because he is a team player. Thanks man, wherever you are. | ||

Just played this. Ended up in a Random Draft. Immediately hear nothing but Spanish in my ears, got into a stack of them. I pretty much immediately think we lost the game but one guy starts talking to me in English so the language gap had a bridge now, things were looking up at least. We quickly start to pull ahead in the game and I managed to farm really well and got lots of kills over the game. Somehow this one guy ended up coordinating us most of the time and I ended up playing the best game I have ever had as Razor. Funny, I let my prejudice get the better of me at the start and almost gave up. At the end of the game I asked them where they were from and they said Mexico. I wish Dota had more bilingual people in my games... | ||

Only Rubik could mid so I picked Outworld!!!! I love a feeded OD. No pingign or writing, I got runes warded for all early game, so I got ALL!! runes on my botle, with a 0 last hits rubik, and a nice 2 kill gank to his safe lane slardar. We moved and pressed towers with a litle of comunication, we tp´d to defend towers,... so we got a very clear advantage. I could imprison myself and allies to safe from a venomancer sure poison death, and I got some ultrakills. FInally they began to focus me, because i go sheep stick and my damage was brutal by then. On a teamfight I was stun and focused for ages, but I could pop haste run and run to imprison myself, all my allies came to help and lion got a 4 man stun, so I could land a 5 man Santy Eclipse!!!! I exploded and died, but all enemies were slain, and botom raxes claimed on vengeance. Match was over, but i wanted to take my revenge, so i got my refresher, T´p´d and walk to his ancient, and afet some stacks on imprison int, I drop my double sanity eclipse inside his ancient. RAMPAGE!!!! Enemy team didnt rage or ask for reports, simply: -LOL -GG WP. | ||

So next game, now I'm on a 10 game win streak, so I'm kind of feeling a loss is close. I once again tell my teammates I'm on a win streak and they all are up to the task of extending that win streak. We do some counterpicking (they had a drow mid so one of my teammates picks a spirit breaker) and get some aggresive heroes since they have an AM too. They all listen to what I say on the mic and we proceed to pressure them really hard before AM gets any farm and eventually we win. So now I'm on an 11 game win streak, I am kind of afraid of what my next game will bring, but at least I'm glad my 2 last games had really friendly teammates that tried really hard to work togheter for a win. | ||

Anyways more to the point of strangers I had a really nice match where our Axe dropped and I was solo support as Dazzle vs a team where they had strong ganking and teamfighting (Alch, BH, QoP, Naga, Necro). It was a pretty rough game for me, especially 4v5, but my allies really pulled it out to give us a win. Anyways the nice part was even despite a mediocre showing on my part (1-5-10 with pretty much no items) the 2/3rds of the rest of my team was really appreciative of me buying all of the supporting items and the 3rd shut up after the other team was supportive of me. It's always nice to see someone sticking up for supports. Also super satisfying is playing CD and having your team execute your drafting plan exactly as you saw it when drafting. Gave VS, WD, Axe, and Mirana (partially me filling requests) to my allies and they were spot on all game with the stuns -> arrows, Calls -> WD ults and other shenanigans. Makes up for the game before where someone requested Bloodseeker, gave it to them assuming mid lane both because it's BS and because I drafted out anyone good vs BS mid. Then they demanded safe lane ruining all three lanes immediately. | ||

The wards I'd purchased to start the game are just expiring, their trilane is pretty likely to dissolve and roam, and at about 6:30 game time, I had looked down at my gold pile and went "Ooh look! 500 gold! I can get brown boots!", failing to consider that I'm likely the only support and that in 30 seconds we'll -still- have a walking courier, and no vision whatever. I say nothing. Pudge, realizing that he needs wards to rotate and hook, buys them. Magnus, realizing he needs flying courier so he can start bottle crowing, gets it. Doom, having just rolled 6, grabs a smoke for himself so he can rotate on their weaver. ...is this real life? I totally fucking failed my team by getting brown boots I didn't really need yet, and not only did noone just spam "we need wards" until someone else bought them, but people just silently did shit that was needed, instead of qqing at the nearest available anyone for this evident failure. Awesome. | ||
