We're up against a Batrider, and Gyro feeds first blood to him after eating too many napalm stacks, so he gets a fast blink. After that, he goes for a blink+lasso gank on Gyro basically every time lasso comes off cooldown. I do my support duty and swap him every time that happens, but I die a lot when I do. Anyway, Gyro doesn't die again for the rest of the like 40-minute game, gets insanely fat, and carries us to victory. I'm like 1-12-12 or so and have like no items after dying on swaps so much. So our solo mid Pudge (who, to be fair, had been playing pretty well, but still, fuck you Pudge-picker) says, "nice comeback gyro, thought we were screwed when venge fed so much." What I expected to happen was for Gyro to be like "haha thanks" or some banal shit like that. Instead, he's like: "dude" "venge wasn't feeding" "he was saving my ass" "every death on that kda" "is one that isnt on mine" "which is why im farmed as fuck" "and carrying your ass" "learn how other heroes fucking work" "before you flame" "dumbass" ...and then I checked my profile after the game and had a new "friendly." The feels <3 . D'awwww....

I don't mean good players (they were but that's not the point) Duoing with a friend he gets a call that he really needs to take so he abandons. He's really sorry about it "I'm sorry I let the team down... it's totally my fault" blah blah. It's like 5 minutes in at this point. The team doesn't rage. They're annoyed, but they don't get mad about it they they're "you know shit happens sometimes". Everyone is really nice communication is good. It a great game of dota with great teammates. It probably helped that we won the 4v5 as well.

Perfect protection, being gifted kills to get me even further ahead. All that good stuff. Hell their 4 man distraction work was so good that they let me grab a T1 for myself unopposed. At one point we took a really awkward and bad teamfight in our jungle. Couple of ours died, I managed to chronosphere their whole team but hadn't quite finished any real damage items so couldn't kill solo. I ran away with Io to our T1 tower. We're being chased by their whole team most of them on high health. No chance to escape and my TP was on CD as I'd TPd over to try to help. Their team comes in and starts blasting away...about to die...suddenly everything disappears. I'm back at base thanks to tether/relocate. Absolutely clutch save by him, even at the cost of his own life after he went back. I was very glad to be able to return the favour to them at the 30 minute mark by smashing up teamfights. Was one of the easiest times I've ever had as a hard carry thanks to my team, absolutely spot on support play. Edit: Also an honourable mention to the other team I played with last night who DIDN'T flame me when I got completely outlaned by Silencer as Pudge, went on tilt and then hit a grand total of about three hooks through the entire game, missing constantly. That game was all on you guys, good work, I did virtually nothing. But hey, at least I wasn't feeding. I swear, I CAN play Pudge better than that. >_>

I was playing Dazzle, and a well farmed Bristleback, with Aegis, jumps their well in the final stages of the game (it was pretty even, we had mid lane's barracks gone). Their entire team is in the well and bristle manages to pick off shadowfiend and tree, then he dies, after respawn I toss shallow grave and he manages to get mirana as well, then our venge swappes bristle and takes 1 for the team. Mekansm + heal + urn of shadown and bristle is back on his feet. 3 for 1 and last 2 towers going down, the win came shortly after. I had a blast! ![]()

Two of my teammates get picked off. Enemy rushes to the Rosh pit. Damn...we just gave up a Rosh. Evidently my two other teammates, Sniper and I think it was KotL still alive, decided "NOT TODAY!"; they go over there and absolutely go to town on the entire other team fighting 2v5. I rush over to try to help and mange to get my ult off on someone but all in all I still can't do all that much. Their team starts falling en masse to the Headshots and Illuminates and they start running with KotL and Sniper in pursuit (they manage four kills on the team in total in the end). I slip quietly into the Rosh pit. He's REALLY low on health. Hit hit hit, Roshan has been killed by the Radiant, Antimage picked up the Aegis of the Immortal. Thanks for the help, team. :D Great work and amazing play by Sniper and KotL.

playing least played to farm compendium achivement, i pick support shadow demon. Game starts and i find myself radiant toplane alone vs luna/pl with a support build... me and midlane try to see what the trilane bot wants to do, but we have no answer from them. ok, it will be one of THAT kind of a team... i try to resist as much as possible, and decide not to change to poison build, 'cause i feared it would have been too late. i fed only 3 deaths before leaving the lane and starting to group w/ the team. 55 mins later we had 3 back and forth with the dire, perfect ping communication (maybe our trilane were all russians, idk), 3 of us break the toplane and go till 4 hits from winning. Meanwhile me and rubik in our base hold against a highly farmed luna, trying to hold but not kill her, cause she has buyback for sure. then they wipe out everyone in their base and start the counterpush. well, they forgot the creeps, and their ancient goes down i think 1 hit before our would have been destroyed... i had wroted "4 hits from a win, gg dire" yet, and i heard "radiant victory"... game won, and i was even commended from all the team for the earlygame/support... we did so many errors that we should be ashamed of ourselves, but what a comeback, and really as a good team. no one got angry in the hard moments, but we played together till the end...God, i love this game :D

The game is a total stomp, the score is 17 2 in their favor, they're knocking at our T3 18 minutes in, I muted 3 players on my team. I check score and dirsuptor and I both have one kill and one assist and none of the other have one assist. We start calling ourselves carry and yelling at them to buy some wards or debating whether we should go battlefury or daedalus. It was enough to turn this stupid game into a fun one and the last 5 stomping minutes were decently fun as we managed to get some kills thanks to our ulties. It felt good to have one nice guy in this dark game.

The son couldn't have been more than 10 years old, 12 max given how he sounded on the mic. The father admitted somewhere in the early game he was "too old" to carry and stuck to babysitting his son most games. My guess is probably early 40s. His son though, was pro with Disruptor. Dad was denying and harrassing the offlane Clockwerk like crazy, and the kid was stacking multiple neutral camps like a pro and then telling me to go to jungle and have at it. I was astonished at how much space they made for both SF and myself, Dad's warding and counterwarding was always timely and I was saved MULTIPLE times by the son's glimpse and/or forcestaff when Radiant tried 5 man rushing us. Extraordinary. We won handily with SF and myself topping the KDA, but this would have never happened if not for that pair, more GPM than I had in my best game ever with Luna. I wish I could have given Lich multiple commends, not just for playing well himself, but for clearly raising/coaching his kid well to stay focused and team-oriented, and calm when we did lose a few teamfights early on. There need to be more people like him not just in Dota, but IRL. 10/10 for both.
