Yesterday was my first time playing Dota2.
I did the tutorials and then played 2 games with a friend against bots. Then I went online to try and find a match. I got put with 9 other random people. I picked Sniper since I was used to him from the tutorial.
I said hey guys, this is my first game so please tell me what you want me to do and I will do it. I was expecting everyont to leave or say something like "fuck off noob." Instead some guy suggested that I take middle lane and just creep for a bit. So I did that. Eventually I got pretty strong and the other team tried to gang up on me. So i ran and asked for help and my allies all came to help me. We were able to fight them off and using some clutch sniper shots I was able to kill off a few of them.
Ended up going 13-1 and going Godlike in my first game. Everyone was really helpful when I asked for advice and we totally ROFLSTOMPED the other team.
Super fun.

Are you saying anti-smurf detection is going to put me against way better players because I did well my first game?
LOL that would suck. I enjoyed not getting yelled at.

You will get yelled at eventually anyway but in my experience if you are just open and friendly to everyone from the start you will just experience flame way less. There are angry people in every skill bracket but honestly, most peaple just want to have fun. If I fuck up badly I just apologize before anyone can flame and most of the time are understanding. If there are flamers I just mute them.
The best thing was a game recently were I was playing Alchemist on dire top and the enemys really focused me and I had a hard time. Our Mirana flamed me and told me to leave, called GG etc. but I just muted and carried on. Our DK mid then took the initiative and started making calls. Under his direction we overcame a 15K gold deficit and ended up winning the game. So even with flamers you can have fun in the game. 
As it turned out the DK was even in a stack with Mirana but still was able to stay calm. Really nice guy.

Played with people who actually communicated. It was so much fun. No mics tho and the enemy kept pausing because they had people DC'ing. When we were pushing mid, our Pudge dismembered an enemy stray and Mirana let loose an arrow, Mirana missed but instead of bashing, we kept laughing and laughing the next pause we had. The last pause was the best, Venge and me (Windrunner) was against an enemy carry and we were already running but when they paused Venge asked "Wind, wanna fight?" I said yes but my shackle was on cooldown so he stunned and we kited and we got the kill hilariously! We won eventually and it was the best feeling knowing people like those play DotA! SEA has hope!

Just played my most intense game ever. I was Lion, and was supporting Void with my friend Witch Doctor in a trilane against a solo Windruner while Kunkka was mid against Slark and our offlane Clockwer went against their trilane of Gyro, Venge and Visage. The start is going quite normal , Kunkka dies after a ballsy dive and we trade some kills etc. Then Slark start ganking. Me as a poor Lion just get demolished by him and Windrunner but we manage to keep Void fairly safe. From there on it goes downhill, Void gets as first big item a Deadalus and thus dies in fights easily. We get really behind in kills (with the most being on me) and lose mid rax and every T3 tower. But we now this ain't over since we got way better lategame and teamfight so we defend. Now after defending quite a while Kunkka finally gets his Rapier and Void slowly farms his items up. Eventually we lose the bottom melee baracks but teamwipe them in return. After that we push out the lanes but cannot take baracks and have to fall back. After finally in a good position to push we lose a fight before their mid T3 and Kunkka loses both Rapiers. But this wasn't over, Void survived the fight and is able to kill Gyro and Slark before their kill our base even further. Now all of us and them are alive again and we five man push mid. Slark and Visage are attacking our base and Clock TPs back to defend. Now we rush to their throne after taking baracks, kill Windrunner who has the Rapier and with that are able to win the baserace (with Clock distracting Slark and Visage so that they can't focus our throne).
This game was so fucking intense. I really had to surpress shouting out very loud in the middle of the night.

Had a game just a second ago where I got lich random and someone on our team picked enigma. His blackholes where really awesome and always spot on, gave me lots of free double/triple kills etc. 5th position support lich with aghs/refresher in like 28 mins. Oh and I also got a Blotto and Stick courier after the game, just one of those really good days of dota it seems.

Got Axe initially but I dunno if I could backdoor the top creeps and ended up repicking to Tinker. Had an insanely difficult game. I don't play carry usually, I couldn't even pull off the march - soul ring - rearm push combo. I also got my sheepstick late in the game and was planning to get Shivas after. The game felt lost a lot of times and I stuck to defending as they got our raxes in some lanes.
Medusa and Troll ended up carrying us hard. We only got away because the opposing team didn't have a good solid carry.

It's still a "good" moment IMHO
Just played a game where two people were talking in Malaysian and didn't speak a word in English. They were pretty civil tho so communication actually got better! GG team! Thanks for the win!

I know you, in the enemy team. I don't think I was healed once by an Omniknight but countless time lost a fight because of good supports like you.

I was playing lina. Enemy pudge had forcestaffed into jungle and was waiting for me to get closer. He eventually throws hook at me but manages to pull ursa teammate who just got aegis + invis rune, and just happened to be running between me and pudge.
another one: spacecow with naix infested in him charge and bash 4 heroes who were about to take down a tower. Teammate disruptor tp's just in time and casts ring around all 4 and sets off ulti. Naix comes out of spacecow and chaos ensues. The 4 heroes all die, and spacecow, naix and disruptor survive all with above half health and tower is also saved. I was unfortunately one of the 4 that died but it was still amazing to witness such a cleanly executed teamfight in a pub

Usually in the QQ thread but today me and a friend were playing a game that had a spanish spirit breaker. I laned with him, we could barely communicate but our gameplay just synchronized so well, it was perfect. He added us and we queued together. The next game we played with two more spanish speakers on our team. They also played really well. We queued as a 5 stack together. It was perfect, first time I'd ever seen a trilane work well in all pick, with me and two spanish speakers. All 3 games had scores of about 40-15 or better.
I'll seriously never forget this.

Me as Dark Seer laning with Tusk. I cast Ion Shell on him. He gets it. We literally snowball out of control.

God I don't know if I've found a mythical little bubble of Dota where people are awesome, but right now I'm feeling good.
2 straight games of running 2-1-1 and a jungler. First game the guy who picks storm volunteers to give up mid to Zeus and go jungle instead. Then from that we have a couple of seriously awesome teamfights (ET, Zeus, Disruptor, CK, and Storm do pretty good work together). Game is really easy and we win 48-21 (though it wasn't even that close)

Game 2 had a less than stellar performance from me, but everyone else performed so well the game was never really out of reach. Big thanks to the Naix, Rubick, and Timbersaw that pretty much won the game for us.

I just started this weekend, and I had a good experience in all my online games so far. I think I'm 3-2, and people have been friendly. I always explain that I'm new, and my most recent one I could tell that everyone was way better than I, but my team had a Pudge that would alert on an enemy before moving in for a gank, so I knew to move in to blow my spells at that time to help out. I think I ended 2-4-16 xD
