Starcraft 2 F1 Key.

So for a long time I've used F1-F4 as my location hotkeys. It's been working good up until 2 days ago. The F1 key does not work in sc2 anymore! I can not bind anything to it, and pressing it doesn't do anything. The F1 works outside Sc2 and also in other games.

I am actually really clueless to what's going on (hopefully it's some really silly error or mistake on my part, but i cant remember ever changing anything)

Please help me TL! =( It's ruining my sc2 experience

I know for one that f1 and f2 are bound to idle workers and idle army in HotS, but for WoL I have no idea. Does your f1 work for other games / functions?

i got ctrl + f1 for creating a location, and f1 for selecting it

and yes it works in other applications and games

I've tried absolutely EVERYTHING =( Now I got dropped in my main and I was pressing F1 to get there before I realized it didn't work... all those drones...

What keyboard do you have? Perhaps some kind of macro in the drivers? Otherwise I have no idea.

Try resetting your hotkeys?

Try setting hotkeys to default and back.
Try clearing cache.
Depending on PC model you may be able to go into control panel and mess with keyboard settings.

I would try tech support, you will get alot more knowledgeable answers there I think.

My keyboard is a Filco Majestouch Ninja, no software installed :s

I've tried reseting hotkeys and clearing browser cache (im assuming thats what you meant), plus running spybot search&destroy

He probably meant the Blizzard / Battle.net cache. Browser cache has 0 to do with your problem :-)

The cache can be found C:\ProgramData\, folders Blizzard Entertainment and Battle.net. You can try removing those.

Also, try repairing the installation through the launcher (the one with the big orange Play button). There, go to Help > Repair Tool.

ps. I have that keyboard too, no issues with the F1 key here.

You might want to get rid of the C:\users\[name]\Documents\Starcraft II folder as well, it also contains some settings (e.g., in the Variables.txt file). I think removing all cache, that folder I just said and using the Repair Tool should basically equal a reinstall I think, though, so not sure if reinstalling will fix it but let's hope so ^_^

I deleted every folder regarding blizzard entertainment, starcraft 2 or battle.net ;P

Gosh... despite a complete clean install, the issue is still there. So it must be something outside Sc2, but somehow only manifesting itself inside Sc2 ?:S F1 still works everywhere else, lol

Certainly is weird. You can also try to play as 'Guest' just to make sure it's not still somehow related to your profile which automatically gets downloaded from Bnet again. F1 by default is idle workers so you can see if that works when playing as Guest vs AI.

It has to do with your battle.net profile. I've had this same problem before. It only fixed itself after I created a new profile and manually edited the new profile to suit my old one. GL.
