Hannspree 22" LCD -- Screen Cut Off

I run a Hannspree 22" LCD Moniter for my computer, with an HDMI pluggin. Ever since I got it it has been giving me an issue with all four edges of the screen cut off by about a quarter of an inch top and bottom, and half an inch on each side. I finally decided to try and find out what's wrong with it, but I couldn't find anything on Google, Youtube, or anything. The resolution is set to 1680-1050 which is the specifications for this monitor, although I am sure that someone else out there has had this problem with aa different monitor as well. Any assistance is appreciated. If there's any information I missed that may be helpful please let me know. Thanks again!

I assume you have adjusted the settings on the monitor itself using its on-screen display?

You probably have a scaling setting turned on and the monitor is overscanning or something.

Try going into your Catalyst Control Center...
Under Graphics Menu, go to Display Options...you should see both monitors listed there. Right click on your external monitor, click configure.

There should be a tab called Scaling Options, and there might be some settings in there that will fix your problem.

I think under the NVIDIA control panel, there's somewhere to "Change Flat Panel Scaling", and there is some options there you can mess with...like use monitor scaling, use hardware scaling, etc.

@Torenshire, I found the Scaling Options earlier today, but it was all grayed out so that I could not use it, but I am sure that if I had been able to it would have worked.

@Scorch, Thanks for mentioning the on-screen Monitor settings. As soon as you mentioned it, I facepalmed and started twiddling with the buttons on the moniter.

In the end, I found the issue. The Monitor was set to "Video Mode" instead of "PC Mode", under Image Settings and HDMI Mode. I have no clue why this fixed it, but it worked.
