Or you can buy a different keyboard. Sadly, the software is broken, and Razer refuses to hear it.

![]() Corded.... um....Can't think ATM. Basically everything the lycosa is SUPPOSE to be minus the buggy fail software. Thinking I might just remove the drivers and hope it works out. (to bad I payed so much for a keyboard that doesn't work right from a company that is not helping me with the problems with the product I bought from them)

But lucky, because that's pretty much what I needed, and still have out of mine. It should treat you ok overall, but it's definately annoying to get the function of a $10 keyboard with pretty backlit keys after paying so much. And yes, the USB/Audio jacks still work too. Basically everything that you didn't have to open the Razer software to set up continues to work without the Razer software, handily.

Hello, We apologize for the problems you have had with your Razer Product. In lieu of having to return the product for an exchange you can simply supply a picture of the unit showing the cut USB cord/audio connector and the serial number of the unit. Once we have the picture we can send out a replacement product for you. You should be able to cut the cord with a standard pair of scissors. Please be sure to show the cut USB cord/audio connector and the serial number in the same picture whenever possible. We know that cutting the cord on a Razer product can be a bit painful for some of our devoted fans; truthfully, it makes us cringe a bit also. If you prefer to return your entire defective unit, just let us know and we will supply you with a traditional (RMA) Return Authorization Number. We just thought sending the picture would make things a bit easier and quicker for you. Am I high or does this seem like BS to anyone else? they are asking me to cut my USB cord.... how is that a sane idea at all?

Additionally I've tried to explain to them its NOT a hardware issue but a Software. But the only solutions I get from them are hardware related. I'm almost 100% sure its the Lycosa's software but I have up to date drivers off their site but its still bugging out. At this point I'm thinking Jingle is right and I'll just have to live with an 80 dollar keyboard that has all the functionality of a 20 buck keyboard I could have gotten at walmart.

10 mins later URG this thing is driving me a little crazy. reinstalled drivers just to be thorough in my testing but it seems to still be working fine. At this point I'm not sure what to make of this keyboard any more. Can't tell if it was something legitimately wrong with it or if it was just my own computer being retarded.. I just want to pay da moneys for stuff that works out of the box without all these issues

Sometimes it just launched Winamp in middle of some arena, gving me black screen. Or it would just pass all the music for like 5s and then switch to next. Made me want to kill this keyboard, my computer, and myself. One day some key eventually got stuck and i trashed it, swearing i would never buy any Razer products again. Well, i got myself a Naga mouse to play WoW since... But advice: just return this.

The issues I was having seem to have been cause by installed the new drivers on top of old ones. It was not uninstalling the old drivers properly causing errors. So if you completely clear the old drivers before installing the new ones it SEEMS to fix it. So far its working fine. Every problem it was having before is gone. At this point the only thing about it that bugs me is that it doesn't have a mute button. (have to hold volume down button till its quite) I'll post if any problem arise but for last 5 days since I cleared old drivers and installed the v3.02 driver its been working perfectly.

Shortly after they got alerted to their "hardware" issue being software, or at least a combination of both.

1.Uninstall Razer Lycosa software from my computer, restart. 2.Go to the Razer website and download the driver 3.02. 3. Testing a few hours now Everything still works except pressing play to launch iTunes (my program of choice) I don't use macros so I dunno if they work, but once in iTunes I can use the skip song, volume control pause and play just fine. So far I haven't noticed any bugging out. Have I done everything correctly?
