Xsplit sound doubling

Hey guys, I've switched to xsplit and the quality and fps are great, I'm very happy I can stream. Only one issue and hopefully an easy fix, but one I could not find a solution to upon searching.

My audio is doubling, let's say I go to change my system volume and it goes *ding*; on my stream it goes *ding ding*(it doubles). Now a couple things to note, I've viewed this on my laptop while streaming on my desktop, didn't have my actual justin.tv stream open on my desktop, so I feel like it could only be an xsplit issue/setting or something within windows, but I'm only hearing it double via xsplit streaming. So, is this a simple fix or an unheard of problem?

If you have "Record System Audio" checked off, then it could be that your microphone record setting is set to "Stereo Mix", which could result in the double audio.

I've changed the mic from my actual mic to my speaker output, either option muted or unmuted mic icon, same result. If I mute the speaker icon in xsplit, I get no audio at all. So its either nothing at all or double. That didn't work.

i had the same problem alizee- xD mb u rldy found out, but when u are actually streaming all sound what you hear, goes out with the stream, so: u play a sound it goes on stream from stream to you and back on stream, endlessly. u cannot have sound enabled when u watch your stream to check

That's not his problem, did you even read the OP? He said his audio out of the stream doubles no matter what, it's not that he has his stream open in the background causing the effect. If that was the effect it would create an infinite loop of playback. He just gets a single repeat of every sound.

If would also be great if you could post with proper grammar and punctuation. If not for the sake of people reading your posts, then for the sake of not getting banned. Yes, that can be classified as a ban reason for some mods.

I was going to suggest what Zeke posted, but if you've tried that then I honestly don't know what would be causing it. I'll just leave you with a couple questions to limit things:
- Tried it with the mic completely unplugged?
- Have most up to date Xsplit version?
- Have most up to date sound card drivers?
- Tried creating a local recording instead of live stream and checking audio in that?

Ok so I did a local recording with my mic plugged in, whether the mic was muted or not, it worked perfect. No double sound. So its only does it with justin.tv? Now I feel like the issue is more isolated, but more confusing.

I do have the most recent xsplit, my sound drivers are not necessarily the most up to date, however considering they just worked fine on the local recording I'm thinking that's probably not the culprit. Lastly on the local recording it worked fine with the mic plugged in, muted and unmuted, so again that shouldn't be the issue.

Alizee, I had the same problem and I fixed it:

Originally I set my screen region to be the SC2 window when it was playing in full screen windowed mode. I deleted that source and just dragged a box around my whole desktop while SC2 was off, while selecting the new source, and the sound is no longer doubling.

Have you tried just muting the stream while you are running it? I noticed when I heard myself on the stream, the sound would double. After muting the stream, it worked just fine.

I also have a problem, but i think it could be on purpose. im trying to test audio for my stream and when i do so i get an endless loop of the music i just played. Is this normal and just because im using same comp? Should i test it on my laptop while i stream with my desktop?

edit: nvm was just because i was testing on same comp

Not sure if you still needed ideas but I just made this happen on accident myself : Turns out I accidentally "added" a USB sound device..thus creating a SECOND feed back. I wasn't aware of this LOL.
