Hey TL,
I've been streaming with VHSCreenCap + FLME for a while becuase I've been getting great quality with those tools. However, I don't get the cool features of XSplit and I've been thinking of switching, but I keep on getting quality problems.
Here's an example: http://i.imgur.com/3hJv5.png
I set XSplit to capture a 800x600 region of the screen. It does, but makes it blurry. (I did press 1 to make it fullscreen in the xsplit viewport, in case you were wondering) That's not something that I want, considering that I pride myself on the high quality of my stream.
Anyone know how to make it not blurry?

This is a bug / "feature" in xsplit. I reported it a while ago, but it seems low on their priority list. Maybe you should report it also.
|
That's pretty ridiculous. I was spending hours thinking that I was just being stupid and not "fullscreening" it properly.
I realized that it does the same thing in VHMultiCam. I guess I'm still going to directly VHSCreenCap + FMLE.

It's eats up my CPU and messes with my quality for no reason...not sure why they don't bother to fix it.
I'll report it as a bug as well -- they have a great piece of software but that one bit is killer - I put so much effort into making my stream good quality but that makes it worse.

have u tried streaming with a highe res? i stream 950 * 540 or somthing close to that and my quality is fairly good for how shitty my pc is
|
Boblhead: Yeah, I stream 720p@2500kbps; I was just taking a screenshot at 800x600 to show you guys the quality problems I was getting.
|
When looking at it FME takes more CPU % than xpslit does, and dyyno gets heavy pixelation, procaster is really just :S:S cause livestream sucks ass, xsplit overall may not have the greatest quality lower quality streams, and with some blurryness, but when you look at overall the quality is a constant. My guess if you play with xsplit settings tweeking your settings overtime you will be able to get the picture quality you want, I played with my xsplit settings for over an hour tweeking bitrate/resolution.

I get pretty good results with XSplit and VHScreenCap -- my stream is one of the best quality streams on JTV's Starcraft section (not to be pompous)

I'm just not happy I can't get similar results with xsplit.

Yeah, that looks blurred.. Its interesting because mine doesn't get that blurred..
Maybe you just need to update to the latest version? enter the ff:credentials: username: tier3@xsplit.com password: update
or i was also thinking of checking the "optimize text resize" in settings but tthats checked by default so maybe its not an option

Nope...Same blurryness results
And nice name ;]
