[H] Siberia V2 wiring

So wanting a good headset i got a Siberia V2 from Steelseries. Problem is: Wiring seems faulty.

I've been using the headset for a month or so and didn't have any problems until now.

It seems that if one tiny region of the cable (at the bottom of the plugs that connect the headset cable to the big extra cable) isn't completely extended then some notes won't play, and the sound won't come clear (it sounds like a really old and low quality headset).

I'm not sure if i should try to fix it or how to fix it but i'm sure one of you tech savvies out there probably know better than me.

warranty? there's not much else you can do really except replace the wiring completely

Picture with problem spot circled or diagram? It could be an easy fix.

If its still under warranty then return it asap.

yeah man, i dunno... the other day my microphone stopped working for no reason. i may have tweaked it and broken something somehow, but im not rough with my headphones or anything so i dont know what could have happened. its not my computer because i just plugged in a spare mic i had and it worked no problem. the mic is definitely flimsy. the same could probably be said for the wiring in the rest of the headset, but i couldnt say from first hand experience. GL!

As everyone has said Return it ASAP

If that isn't possible-
I had a problem with my headphone where it sounded very poor and garbled. I fixed probl. by inserting it into microphone jack and rerouting the audio through that. Try it just *might* work.
Also, Check audio quality (the khz tab) and try changing it to high/low values.
Try different ports and Os.
If all fails just get a new one. I recommend Phillips or if you have deep pockets Bose QC.

Ive had Siberia V1's and got the V2's when they came out and havent had a problem with them at all, all i could suggest is return it.
