Well, I haven't used the func1030, but if you use higher sensitivity and want a smooth pad, I can tell you the Vespula is amazing. Oh, and the gel thing is removable if you don't like it. Those little green things at the corners are rubber feet so you can take it off the non-slip base that the wrist rest is attached to and still use it on a desk without it slipping or scratching the other surface.

I've just gotten a Zowie Swift and I love it.

I used to a cheap $5 mouse pad and never thought about it, but when I was at school last year I started playing with my mouse straight on my wood table.
Now that I am back at home, I wanted something to replicate that. So I just decided to pick up the Swift, which I had heard was comparable to the SS SP mousepad.

More about the mousepad, it is a textured hard plastic surface with a rubberized bottom to prevent slipping.

Textured hard pads aren't good for high DPI, they can make you less precise.

Well, I really like the feel and I do not require to be 1 pixel precise in any of my computer functions. Also my mouse is not good enough to make it relevant/ low dpi.

But the OP specifically stated he wanted a small hard pad for high sensitivity use. That's why I brought it up. It can make you slightly twitchy.

Okay sorry, I didn't see that in the OP or from his posts, but I must have missed it.

I just saw he said he didn't have much experience with plastic mousepads, so I thought I would share my 2cents on my new mousepad.

Yeah this is exactly what i want, i don't need a lot of space, and the current mouse i'm using is a logitech g500. It works good enough on a func 1030. Can't tell if i'm missing a pixel or 2 but there's no way i'd get a qck or something similar for more precision.

There's also the Roccat Sota, Is it any good ? I fear that the edge of the mousepad will make my wrist hurt...
