I did but when I save the file it doesn't actually save? I re-open it and the keys are reset back to normal.. You need to extract the text files out of the MPQ file, edit them, save, then add them back into the MPQ while overwriting the existing files. I want to use the "qwert" system but need to change the Attackkey from "T" to "A" I'm afraid ShadeOfDraG is correct as well. By the looks of things, the only way to change your Attack key from T to A when using the grid preset, is to in fact not use the grid preset and instead change all your standard key bindings to match the grid bindings, then set your standard Attack key to A. A text file containing the grid keybinds does not seem to exist. | ||

can i extract my old edited hotkeys.txt from the beta mpq and put it inside the retail mpq? anyone done a grid with A<->T switched already? if so could you please upload it? | ||

Downloading digital copy of SC2 has been crashed for me so now i download DVD from torrent. It's so boring  . If all goes well, tomorrow I will start working on the program. | ||

this thread is confusing people, since it started from beta version and SC2tools is not working. I managed to make it work for the released version. blog link: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=139014 I have gathered all information from here and put it all in only one blog making it easier for everyone. if admins think the blog is unnecessary, delete it and post here what I wrote there or even just delete it lol I'm just trying to help. | ||

1) Go to "Versions/Base15405/patch-enGB.SC2Archive" and then extract the following file using the MPQEditor (newest version): Mods/Liberty.SC2Mod/enGB.SC2Data/LocalizedData/GameHotkeys.txt 2) Open that file with the good (old :-P) Tiler-Tool by using "Open File" and do your changes in the HotKeys. 3) Save the file where you extracted it (-> 1) ) if u want to do changes concerning the UI u have to do the same with the file GameHotkeys.txt found in Mods/Core.SC2Mod/enGB.SC2Data/LocalizedData thats it - works perfectly EDIT: Furthermore u have to change in sc2 the Hotkeys to "Standard", not (!) "Grid" or anything else | ||
