Plz help me i need the line in gamehotkeys.txt for bug WARP IN coz in the new gamehotkeys when i open it with sc2tools i cant change WARPIN, i need the line like UI\hotkey= etc ... help me plz

Thanks for coming tiler. I dont have retail yet either, but I am really looking forward to the new sc2tools. I can't play this game without custom keys.

I just tried this with the SE Asia/enUS version.

GameHotkeys.txt are in the same places as before and could be edited without any issues. It all worked fine in-game as well.

The only difference I could see was that the hotkeys from LibertyMulti have now been merged in with the Libery ones.

ekSi: The location of "WarpIn" is under core (same as beta)

edit: I was doing this manually before. Just tried with SC2Tools and editing core/.../GameHotkeys.txt does seem to have some issues.

the line is UI/Hotkey/WarpIn=

hello,

i've got this bug with double y. means that ''warp in'' and the grid-key-y is double used. Sucks so bad when trying to build a pylon or something by pressing y and get back to my warp gates. Does someone know what to do about it?

So while Tilers working on the new tools (Legend!) we can still edit the hotkeys using the MPQ editor?

The reason I ask is that last beta patch I saved my changes to a .txt file which is basically just a copy of gamehotkeys.txt so all i would need to do is change the file over in the MPQ editor. Or am I wrong?

As long as no new units/button positions/ability changes have been introduced in retail, I think I should be good to go. That is, once my game arrives.

Correct, we can still do everything the same as we could in Beta. Anyone having problems with "protection" is either doing something incorrectly (editing the wrong file perhaps) or there is a problem with their editor or computer. I've personally manually edited both GameHotkeys text files and had it take effect in-game (both singleplayer and multiplayer) with no problems.

I would play it safe and re-edit the new text files for the retail game from scratch, instead of adding the beta text files to the MPQ. Can't hurt to test it though when you get a chance, just as long as you back up the new files you are going to overwrite first.

Ok, i experienced that i made some mistakes during the first time i tryed. Now, it works for me to, its no problem to edit the hotkeys with the mpq-editor. But still SC2Tools is easier to use :D

I just want to change Attack from T to A from the Grid System. I always edited the gridleftside.txt file. So did I know but there are no changes ingame. Any idea?

Starcraft2 folder > Versions > Base15405 > patch-enUS.SC2Archive (substitute enUS with your local language and version) is the MPQ file you need to be editing. Within that MPQ file there are two text files that contain all (or close to) the bindings. Both are called GameHotkeys.txt, and are located in Mods > Core.SC2Mod > enUS.SC2Data > LocalizedData and Liberty.SC2Mod > enUS.SC2Data > LocalizedData respectively.

I did but when I save the file it doesn't actually save? I re-open it and the keys are reset back to normal..

Is in possible to change button posititions like it was in Warcraft 3? I'm using grid hotkeys and I'd like to move the attack button so that it would corespond to letter A instead of T.

A lot of people are playing with Grid Hotkeys and wanting A instead of T for attack-move.

Unfortunately for the moment, you have to modify MPQ to change all the default hotkeys to a Grid Hotkey style with A as attack-move.

You can't simply modify the Grid Default Hotkeys...
