I cannot play the game without this tool. Looks like its pointless for me to get a midnight launch unless a new version of this is released. I could manually edit the gamehotkeys.txt using an mpq editor but I cannot find the hotkeys for changing command groups and other user interface controls in that file.
Edit: Nevermind, the video at the beginning of this thread shows how to manually change your hotkeys without using the tool. Ofcourse this is with beta, I dont know if you can do it with retail as well.
Also want to point out that the UI keys are in a different txt files than the other hotkeys.

Whats wrong with changing the mpq file in retail? Do you think they will autoban for altered mpq files? Has anybody tried it? I really doubt you would get banned for changing hotkeys.

Could anyone open a thread in the official Battle.net forum, that blizzard should bring the option to change your keys? (because i cant login)
Then, we open a thread here on TL, where we advise the people to protest in this battle.net thread

It is absurd that hotkey customization is not in retail. Has anybody tried manually editing the mpq files in retail yet to see if it works?

Has anybody tried manually editing the mpq files in order to customize hotkeys in the retail version. Would love to know if it worked properly.

I've tried but I can't find where the lines containing hotkeys are.

Gomas, the video in the first page of this thread shows you. It should be in a similar mpq structure in retail

No, you dont use sc2tools. You use an mpq editor and go into the patchenus.mpq archive and browse through to local and gamehotkeys.txt then you go to core.sc2 also within that patchenus.mpq and edit the UI hotkeys from there.
You have to use an MPQ editor, not sc2tools.

In WarCraft III everyone does that. Dont understand where is the problem. But Blizzard should just support custom keys. They are able to make such great CGI-movies and such great games. But there dont able to devolope a customkeyoption? oO

No it is not. How does pushing r for stimpack instead of t give you an unfair advantage? Use your head

Have you tried manually editing mpq files to see if that works? It should, because that is all Tillers tool does, but with an easy to use interface.
