Same goes for Zealots etc, etc. When it comes to soundeffects and voices SC1>SC2. But I am getting offtopic a bit, I don't mind the voice of this Kerrigan. Raynor's voice is perfect though. Kerrigan's new voice is... not very zergish.

Well this is it... they changed the Kerrigan VA for the Zeratul/Kerrigan cinematic... Sounds so bad =/ Why the fuck haven't they rehired the old VA! Continuity Blizzard, continuity! Especially when the original material was good to start with. Edit : Also, that's with all the audio tinkering to match an infested Kerrigan. Still sounds like a B actor that tries to hard. Glynnis plz!

But then you go back and listen to the one done by Talken... It just feels more "right" - I don't understand why they wouldn't play to these nostalgic feelings. The quality is pretty much the same.

Now it's the exact opposite that's happening, as I'm fairly sure Robert Clotworthy is doing Raynor's voice again. Video game industry has grown quite a bit in 10 years, and voice acting in video games is now a hell lot more profitable than it was back in 1998, I'm sure the original SC actors are the first to know it. We can safely assume this would be Blizzard's main problem with taking the old actors again.

I'd wager that the Jim Raynor VA actually negociated really hard to get his role back. The Jim Raynor voice looked like it would have stuck till retail, and suddenly without warning the old VA is back.

I really like Futurama, but I don't think I'd be able to sit through even one episode with if they changed the voice actors :s

Kerrigan's not French (I was originally going to use a stronger comment but that probably would've offended some people and got me banned).

Money is the only real conclusion I can gather from this. Maybe Glynnis was either asking for too much, or Blizzard didn't want to give too much. Hopefully BlizzCon will shed light on the issue.
