With that said, I also think it's fine as community members to question (without demanding anything) why there wasn't a recap for the biggest SC2 event of the year (and a very very good one at that), while still writing GSL previews (and even recaps!). It could just be such a recap takes time, etc., but I would respond to that that I think most people would be completely satisfied with a very quick recap that's no more than five paragraphs or so, even a few paragraphs tbh (like the recent GSL summaries but without the game descriptions). Recap threads are great in that they serve as a new thread for people to discuss, or they serve as a headliner for people who maybe didn't watch the tournament or keep heavily up to date, or, just simply, they commemorate important SC2 moments. I mean we are so far past that I don't really think any recap is needed now because it's just so late (are you really going to write "Last month, Serral took his long-awaited trophy etc."). If you guys are planning a very long recap, that's still super cool! But I think most community members would have also preferred a super quick recap sometime shortly after the end of the biggest SC2 tournament of the year. On March 15 2022 19:09 Poopi wrote: This question has already been answered in this thread: https://tl.net/forum/starcraft-2/587041-iem-katowice-2022-final-four-players-set-for-sunday?page=3 There are no big tournaments yet so it is not that big of a deal that the recap isn't there yet, time is good to digest the season. And in response to this, I don't think time is actually good to digest the season. Maybe a few days or a week, but SC2 changes so fast that the things we note about a tournament in February might very well be completely false/no longer true come next week in April. All of this going without saying of course that TL writers are amazing and the community is highly indebted to them for the great work that you do.

Serral vs Reynor shortfilm I also think no one should blame anyone on here not being a recap. Whoever would love to see one, should take the time and write it. There were so many cool side stories, like Ryung advancing from the groups eventhough he was "just" a covid replacement, heromarine going to semis, the epic spriti vs nice match and so on... So it will take a lot of effort to cover it all.

Or just a community that sometimes, if someone has the muse for it, does Esports coverage? Because if it is the first one, they do an amazingly crappy job at it. If it is the later, then that is fine, but I seriously wonder if there actually is a website that does actual coverage of SC2?

So yeah huge shoutout to every writer/contibrutor on this website. Don't feel hassled by threads like these, you are doing an awesome job. Many people read your reports and like 'em, even without commenting.

Btw, the recap shouldnt just about Serral, there were plenty of good story there, lack of Protoss players, Ryung rise, some dissapointment like Clem and Cure, ect..Surely Serral and Reynor were the peak performers, but there just are too many things to talk about.

TL.net is like Wax and Poopi these day, it's hardly a massive team, and they are chruning thousands of words every month. Maybe neither had the wilingness to write a recap world championship that took place over dozens of hours this time around. No there are no other SC2 new website as it take tens of hours every week.
