○…블리즈컨 2007이 열리는 미국 캘리포니아 애너하임 컨벤션 센터는 관람객들로 인해 입추의 여지가 없을 정도로 붐볐다. 블리즈컨 입장권은 100달러라는 높은 가격에도 불구하고 순식간에 8천장이 모두 팔려 3일 만에 매진을 기록했다고.

Blizzcon 2007 held in a convention center in Anaheim California was overloaded with excitement from the fans. Even though the ticket for Blizzcon exceeded the high price of 100 dollars, the 8000 tickets were sold in 3 days for a new record.

○…한국 선수단은 아침 9시까지 호텔 로비에 모여 컨벤션 센터로 함께 향했다. 그동안은 연습을 할 장소가 없었지만 컨벤션 센터 내의 게이머존에서 PC를 세팅해 연습을 할 수가 있게 됐다.

The Korean programmers met at 9 AM in the hotel lobby and headed to Blizzcon together. They were unable to practice for a while with the lack of equipments but were able to practice with the PC’s in the Gamer-zone.

○…블리즈컨 2007에서 최대 화제는 단연 스타크래프트2였다. 스타크래프트2 체험관에는 천여명의 관람객들이 몰려 게임을 하기 위해서는 한참이나 기다려야 했다. 스타크래프트2를 플레이해 본 엄재경 해설위원은 "전작인 스타크래프트의 느낌을 잘 살렸다"며 "테크트리는 복잡해졌지만 타격감이나 사운드 등은 마치 스타크래프트를 하고 있는 듯한 느낌"이라고 말했다.

The main focus of Blizzcon 2007 was of course Starcraft 2. In the Starcraft 2 information room, over 1000 people waited in order to have a chance to play the demo. After playing the demo of Starcraft 2, Starcraft Announcer Um Jae Gueng stated, “The game revived the strategic battles of Starcraft” and that “The tech tree was confusing while the sound was basically very similar to the original game”

○…해외 유명 커뮤니티에서 선수들의 치어풀을 만들어 와 화제가 됐다. 팀리퀴드넷에서 스타크래프트 부문에 출전하는 선수들의 치어풀을 하나씩 만들어 온 것. 경기 잘 하라는 격려의 말도 잊지 않았다고.

One foreign community site made cheerfuls for the programmers. Teamliquid.net made each programmer a cheerful. They did not even forget to wish the programmers good luck with their games.

○…워크래프트3 부문 개막전이었던 장재호 대 마누엘 쉔카이젠의 경기가 연기됐다. 마누엘의 키보드에 문제가 생긴 것으로 알려졌다. 둘의 경기는 현재 무대에서 진행 중인 변형태 대 홍진호의 경기와 월드 오브 워크래프트 아레나 토너먼트가 끝난 뒤 진행될 예정이다.

○…WWI에서 '폭풍 해설'로 인기를 모았던 닉 플롯이 블리즈컨 2007에서도 해설자로 모습을 드러냈다. 변형태 대 홍진호의 경기를 중계하면서도 다양한 감탄사와 표현으로 관중들을 즐겁게 해줬다.
