not like because they have so few staff that they cant support a game properly =?

Nah, it's more likely they fired all the engineers and have only some suits left who don't know shit about anything but money

How many engineers would you need? The whole thing is confusing.
If they did have a skeleton crew running if anything I’d have expected the fix to have taken way longer

Well i guess some higher ups pressed the red button and from everywhere people would try to fix it asp ^^

I think it's more likely that it worked fine right before launch, but something stupid happened which had a huge effect because of spaghetti code
Yes, from everything I've heard, this game's code is a nightmare to work with. For Heroes of the Storm, they patched up some of the issues with the engine and introduced multi-core support, but none of that made it back to SC2 since it would have required a relatively big overhaul. I think Nathanias has talked about this before a couple times and a few others.
music while you decypher my blocks of words in piles
the launcher has a "scan and repair" button, feels so weird that i have to be the one to always type out the obvious
errors are a fun concept to dwell into, no? .. one such error makes many a dedicated 7 days a week gamer on the sc2 arcade have to struggle needlessly.. this bug has been there for years now.. and no outrage no lobbying has occurred for it anywhere .. tsss! shame on you "community"!
ok so i'll be the voice of arcade people, just this last time ..
we call it the rejoin bug (on a platform dedicated to its "online" experience .. excuse me while i triple facepalm and start to lose a little bit of my composure...)
let me explain how the bug works.. by now we should be calling it a feature, no?
the gamer hell bent on opening a lobby to gather gamers to play the video games has to re log in / out back in (type password obviously every time) at the end of every game (every 15 minutes to 30) .. i mean "at least re logging goes quicker than actually reopening the game" you say.. yes but no ! (if you close up you lose stuff you don't lose if you "only" re log but closing the game makes you open it again and that has its own things .. so lets agree that that would be different so comparing it makes no sense.. apples and oranges).
i mean at this point i would welcome a big shinny "re log" button appearing as a quicker solace solution at the end of my game .. rather than 50 buttons that all fail when used...
now.. let us postulate that you already know about this .. and you come in this thread to read about this recent patch? .. why would this uninteresting bug be of any interest to you ? why would it need to be mentioned in this "discussion"/thread? .. a thread depicting this "latest" blizzard patching of their game (this is the end of this patch i think and there was at least 3 patches / 1 patch and two hot fixes applied (or just one hotfix via two "extra" patches)) ..?
the why is always easy, the bug i'm talking about forces gamers to unlog and therefore we kick ourselves out "willingly" in order to get back in .. which we don't since you can't log in during those "hot fixes" moments..
??? has blizzard just found best way to clear its servers of its gamers ? to dress up and play make believe and then re open its doors?
how nice! this would explain why we have this ARCADE bug on its 3rd to 4th year ..
