Need anymore be said? I kind of started laddering again for fun but the game has just as many ridiculous frustrating nuances as ever. This game needs a big balance patch, more then that, a big design patch. Just stupid ass units and design choices that make the game not fun to play. The minerals that run out faster still creates an attacker only advantage, never a defender because as you attack you expand, you can buff tanks until the cow comes over the moon but if bases are being depleted so rapidly an immobile force is never going to be as strong as a mobile force. Map pool feels amateur and bad, just a big down grade because of Blizzard's to decision to once again interfere in an area that is always so much better when they just stay the hell out of it. Blizzard you have no clue how to design or balance maps and it's been painfully obvious since WoL. A test map that get's utilized by the balance team once a month apparently to test +1 armor on Thors and extra fast Corruptors, whoo let me just drop what I'm doing to play 25 + games of that! I'm really hoping that after Code S (which is no doubt the reason that balance changes have been sparse) the team makes big moves. This game is in dire straits, streamers are way way down on viewership getting clobbered by a 15+ year old game. Now I'm not going to say that BW is a better game or better designed or any of that crap, but it is pretty sad to see that the only time SC2 stream numbers look even remotely close to BW is when Byun has 2K viewers. When that's not going on usually the 1st or 2nd BW streamer will have more viewers then every SC2 streamer combined. Take that as you want, but to me, if I was in charge of the SC2 game, I would consider that to be unacceptable and demanding of big sweeping changes. It's pretty hard to say, "SC2 is ded because RTS is niche and almost ded" when a 15 year old RTS game has huge viewership to this day. | ||
